Are OKW 3 bedroom villas difficult to book during the summer if you book 7 months out? TIA

I have not had success in 29 years of trying. Have usually been able to find a day or two but not a consecutive week. Good luck!

The summer is generally the slowest time of year for DVC. I haven’t tried for any GV’s during the summer. We bought a OKW contract primarily to book a OKW GV every other year or so for big family or friends trips.

Thank you all so much. It seems like the GV at OKW is the most reasonable and I would love to do a nice big family trip. It’s not something we would do every year, but I’m trying to figure out how to make it possible without having to buy a smaller DVC contract. Lol

You rent OKW points, or you split stay with something easier like AKL or a combo of smaller rooms. These are hard to get at 7 months for a long booking.

Transfer in required points from OKW owner to use for 11 month booking. Then rent out your own points to cover cost.

As previously posted, summer is not as busy a time. Even though it takes more points, Saratoga Springs tends to be very available, so that could be another option. (even if it meant a slightly shorter stay). Good luck! In general, the last two weeks in August are less busy because kids are getting ready to go back to school................ but it's beastly hot . Sounds like a great trip

As you noticed, the GV at OKW are quite cheap, so they are extremely popular.
