A short time before they destroyed Horizons, we heard that they were going to use some of the parts of the ride in different parts of the property. Did anyone else hear this, and has anyone seen any Horizons parts around anywhere? I recall for a while "smart one" the robot from communicore {west or east, I don't recall}was set set up at the concourse grill at the contemporary resort, but I haven't seen it latley. PS: the symbol from Horizons inside mission space doesn't count.

This doesn't answer your question, but several of the AA figures from World of Motion ended up in Pirates of the Caribbean in Anaheim.

I think the heads of the figures in the Mission Space pod mock up look a lot like characters from horizons.

Well, the costume that the little scuba-boy "Scott" was wearing has taken up a nice new home in my closet...

HEY! how did you manage that??

In the line in the middle of the large spinning circle thing there is a horoizons symbol. That is the only thing i saw.

One (or more) props from Horizons apparently made it to the Disney Studios Park in France. I believe that the prop is in their equivalent of the Backlot Express restaurant (I haven't really read much on the new Paris park, figuring I'm not missing much).

Someone correct me if I'm mistaken, but the "orange" scent from Horizons can also be found in Disney's California Adventure. Anyone know if this re-used the Horizons part(s), or just the same technology?

I'd love to know where more of Horizons went.

A lot of the props are in the line for the tram tour a MGM and at the "storage" facility in Kissimee.

When you mention that "storage facility" in Kissimee, I guess you mean not open to the general public? Or is there some kind of tour there? Do you know exactly where in Kissimee?

Also, you see that LARGE mach-up of an ISTC space module in the pre-show? The one suspended over your head? Yeah, kinda looks familiar, dosn't it? ;)

Does anybody kbow a place where somebody videotaped Horizons, I can't recall the ride but I know I have been on it...

Please feel free to PM me if you don't feel comfortable posting a link to the general populous.....

Thanks

mitros,
I remember hearing that they were planning to sell the ride system and vehicles to a theme park in Mexico. I don't know if this actually happened or not, I haven't heard much about it since Horizons closed.

I remember seeing a post a long time ago from someone who saw the Horizons ride vehicles being hauled away from WDW on flatbed trucks. This person managed to take a couple of snapshots of the trucks as he passed them on the freeway. Sorry that I don't have a link to the photos anymore.
