Tomorrow is my dd's last day of school and she's spending the night at her bff's. She wont be home until Sunday. My first time away from her much in almost 2 months. What to do, what to do? Probably sleep. I need rest for my two trips.

Tell me about it. I gained about 50 pounds since I started school. And now that I am done, I want to drop it. But damn, I love to it. I enjoy food. And its all soooo good.

I was checking the weather for June and there were some days in mid June that were 106 and 107. It's one of those things where you know it's coming, you just don't want to see it actually staring back at you.

UGH!!!!! I am so not looking forward to the heat. But like an ex told me....its always a cool 72 inside the casinos.

I'm glad the slumber party is still on! It hadn't been mentioned in awhile so I wanted to make sure. It's going to be so fun. I think Amy even mentioned once that she was going to spend the night Friday with the group. Not sure if that will change now with the house situation, but hopefully she and Jane will both make it over.

I am definitely planning to spend Friday night as long as there is a small corner someplace that I can crash. It's going to be a really long week as I am juggling work, home and playing with all of you, but it is going to be so worth it to have everyone here in our fair city!

I always take a light weight sweater with me for the casinos cuz they keep them CooL so people won't fall asleep or want a nap.

I'm not planning on being outdoors when we are in vegas. Last year i went in june and the heat was so hot that when i stepped off the curb to get in the cab..you could feel heat radiating from the pavement. It was really surreal. And i live in el paso so i know hot, but this was DeViLgoNNaGetcha Hot!

I know what you mean. One of Ruben's and my first visit's here was in June. I remember walking out of one of the hotel's and standing on the sidewalk waiting for the light so we could cross, and I couldn't handle it. I was burning up, my eyes hurt, it was miserable! I had to turn and go back inside.

Since then, I've gotten used to it. It's still unpleasant, but nothing like that first time.

The summer we moved here, when Ruben flew out to interview at the hospital, it was 115. That was in July.
One thing everyone needs to do is just remember to drink lots of water.

That cracked me up for some reason.

I remember that same summer that I mentioned in my other post, when it was 115, there had been reports of people's tires popping from the heat. I don't know if that's true or not.

'Course that's rare. Typically in summer we are around 102 or 103 at the hottest. IF we get super hot days, they don't last long. And my mom lived in Central CA and she'd get days that were 102-105 so it's not only here it gets like that.

We'll be ok. Hot and cranky, but still having a blast!!!!
