Thanks, Theresa! I am doing some traveling in July and that was another reason that I decided I needed to move up my little Vegas visit. I know you guys are going to make some great memories there. I will have to enjoy the stories....

(three kind dorky college guys sat behind me on the shuttle in from the airport. One said that his other friend asked him what he was going to do in Vegas. He told him, "See some shows, drink a lot, and then see what happens." They were out of some college road trip movie.

How is everyone's weekend going? Everyone is coming to our home tomorrow for bbq and homemade ice cream. Monday is the local balloon festival so the kids and grandkids will go to that.

Yum. The balloon festival, is that the kind where you go up in the air in a basket?

I am so tired today!
The lip sync last night was so much fun!

We are all moving along so slow today!
The boys are getting ready so we can go to the carnival--have I mentioned I hate carnivals? Carnival rides are the worst!

Winnings....I never win anything.......those darn evil monkeys laugh and me and go running away with my money!!

Try video poker next time... Yeah carnivals rides = boring. DL rides = fun.

Hi Vegas gals!!

Donna...so sorry I missed your visit. I actually dragged my butt in the shower and got dressed, thinking I could make it. But I am still barely able to walk across the room without having trouble breathing, so I decided heading to the strip (where you can't really avoid walking) was probably not the best idea.

Sounds like you all had a blast and I wish I could have been there!!

I'm just trying to get my strength back. It kills me to be sick. So much I have to do, especially now. I of course brought work home and got this crazy idea I would use this home time to work ahead in school also but I really can't think straight enough to do any of that.

Tomorrow is the last day of my antibiotics and I honestly don't feel any better, might need to go back in for something else.

About the Vegas trip...I am definitely coming to Love, and will drop in for other things too, but I am waiting to find out when we will close escrow before I make permanent plans. We finally found a house last week and will close within 30 days which if course puts moving close to the Vegas trip. But we aren't moving far, so it won't be bad. I'll work it out so I can still see you guys, just not sure which days yet.

And I am supposed to have a big weekend next week so I need to get better!! Paul got tickets to the lion king for mothers day. We are going sat night. then sun am I am supposed to hit the road with my middle child (sam) to head to DLR for a 3-day quick trip. The developer points I got from buying DVC *thanks again Cheryl*!! covered enough for me to make 3 seperate trips to the Grand Cali. So I am taking each child seperately for mom and me time. We've never stayed there before so I am excited. Just need to get healthy.

Speaking of winnings in vegas.

What is everyone's practice on that?

If you win do you play with those winnings?
Or do you cash them out and save them, then put new money in?
Or are your winnings stolen by evil monKeys?

for me, if it's a win of over 20 dollars i cash it out and save it.
then when i go home i turn them in and go home with a little money for the next trip.

but i've had trips when i was sssqqquuueeellloorrrring to Bob.. give me 20 more.. this is a LucKy machine.. i can teLL!

LOL--I have done the "lucky" machine thing too--and poured tons of money into it thinking "it's gonna hit on the next spin"--LOL. I generally take a certain amount I'm not afraid to lose--so unless it's a "big" win (over $100) I generally run it back in. However, I usually take part of my gambling money home. I love penny slots! I hope some of my faves are still there--my all time fave was "turkey shoot"--it was so much fun--but it's an "oldie" now so it's probably not around.

So when we go to vegas... i'm going to go to the Titanic exhibit.. and to the Wax Museum.. just thought i'd throw it out there.. don't know if anyone is interested or not.

Actually Madame Tussauds is on the schedule as an option for Friday I think it is. I'm definitely interested in that. I think taking some group photos there will be a hoot!

The Titanic exhibit isn't my thing so I'll pass on that. But let me know how you like it! I'm curious to hear what you think as some reviews I've read have been rather mixed.....

Hi Miss Amy! We missed you! I'm sorry to hear you are not feeling any better even though your antibiotics are almost done. That's not good at all.

Congrats on the new house!! So exciting. Guess that means you're stuck in Vegas for awhile now. lol Can't wait to hear more about it.

How awesome that you are going to see Lion King. Let me know how it is. Ruben and I will probably be seeing it this summer when his parents come to town so they can babysit for us.

Beth.. i've seen the Titanic exhibit..twice.. i just really like it.
Once we took a group of people from work..and another time i took my mother.

wow the Grand was so lovely..and CheryL made sure we had such a great room... the view was beautiful. right center with the bridge and the monorail.. it was so pretty at night.

We were at the carnival for about an hour and then Kaeleb started feeling bad, he went on a few more rides and then we called it a day. He slept for over an hour. When he woke up we watched Bedtime stories. Now we are home getting ready for bed.

Dawn, wow, it must be good if you are seeing it for a third time. I love the movie. Maybe I'll have to check it out one of these days. I think my older two kids might like it. Not sure if it would be boring for the twins. They are only 8.


Deb, sorry to hear Kaeleb got sick. That's a bummer. Did you like Bedtime Stories? We watched Mall Cop and it wasn't all that great.

Beth....It was wonderful for me as a little girl i would read national geographic and see images of what the ship was like. So to see the exhibit they have those pictures in their original state.. the photos of when they found the items beneath the sea.. and then in many cases they have the actual item there.

I love how you are given a card with the name of a passenger when you enter.. and it tells you of who that person was.. why they were on the ship...and where they were going to...were they traveling alone or with family? It states their status on the ship. {first class, 2nd..ect.}
When you get to see the state rooms.. the furnishings.. differences in sizes...it's so interesting.

And the end of it... well it really brings it home...

I forgot to say that Torrid is having a really great sale this weekend. Its until Monday. Clearance items are 50% off and other things are on sale.

Stacie, I forgot to tell you , I was in Avenue yesterday and bought a pair of those Lite Denim jeans you were talking about. I love them! They are so comfy.

I think they run really big though. I bought them in a size 16 and I am so not a size 16!! LOL Most of my jeans are 20 or 22.
That's why I never really pay attention to sizes. Everything is cut so differently. You can wear a 14 or 16 in one shop and be a 20 someplace else! Doesn't really mean anything.

But I like them, so thanks for turning me on to those.

Glad you got a pair. They are my fave jeans ever. I wear one pair so much that I had to patch it. But I just find them so comfy and they are cut nicely to suit me. I'm short, so they have P sizes which I like.
