Sometimes they have discounted tickets to that and the Titanic exhibit at either Tickets2Nite or Tickets4Tonight. So if you are interested in that, check there first. :thumbsup2

Another place I like to check it goldstar.com They usually have half price tickets for lots of things.

Cool, half price tickets are always good. Too bad they don't have them for Love or KA. lol

I Googled that Psychic Eye Book store and sure enough it's on Charleston. I pass by it all the time when I drive Ruben to work. He works at UMC which is on Charleston. I knew it looked familiar.

I'm not sure what we are going to do today, but if we end up down on the Strip I want to try and swing by the timeshare and take some pics of the outside.

Cool deal! I was gonna do that last week, but never got around to it.

I also just for a whim, checked out flights for me in case I didn't want to drive. Way too much I think. $150+ for decent times to fly. Nah, cheaper to drive.

This will be us taking our pic in front of the vegas sign. First we have to stop by the showgirl store and pic out our outfits.

Well - OK, but I'm going to need a LOT of PhotoShop editing :scared:

Anybody up to seeing the "Bodies" exhibit?

That's the one where they use real dead bodies, right? They had that here at Science World. I remember talking with some people who went and they were giggling over the man bits.

I was somewhat working today....

Yay for somewhat working :thumbsup2 I need a break now though, phew!

Great idea! Do we know yet if Stacie has confirmation that we can definitely for sure have a first floor room?

We all might need some. Especially to look good in those outfits. Heck, I don't want to see whats gonna bulge out of mine :scared:

WHo doesn't giggle over man bits :rotfl:

But yeah, its real dead bodies that go through some sort of plastinization (sp) and are sliced so you can see the entire body. I think its pretty facinating.

I don't know. She emailed them so they should have received it. :confused3
I tried to call the "customer care" number listed on the website. It said to call if you have special needs/requests, so I was just going to ask if you can request AND be guaranteed a first floor room.
I got a recording that said the wait time to speak to anyone was 18 minutes! I don't have that long to sit and wait right now as I just hopped back online to print out some directions.
So hopefully she'll hear something soon.

I am such a slacker! I'm sometimes more of a lurker than a poster :cool2:

Anyways, I did get an email reply, and I'm also going to call them just to confirm that it's not just a request, that it's guaranteed. I'll post once I get around to doing that.

I'm just sitting here doing not much of anything today. Not that there's not stuff to do, seems like different parts of the house ALWAYS need to be cleaned! Why is that?!? If everyone picked up after themselves, it would just make things so much easier!!

And I may have another friend coming, trying to talk her into it. We may end up having to get a 2nd timeshare, then I'll call them again and try to make sure they'll be next to or close to each other, if possible.

Hope you all have a great day, this should help:

You lurker you! :cool2:

Thanks for the info. Hopefully they will guarantee it.

So I was there today, at the resort! :yay: We drove down there to check it out. I couldn't drive around like I wanted and take pics though because there was a security guard there and he wouldn't let us. We has to drive in and turn around.

At least it's well guarded. We just saw a little bit of it. They are definitely doing some major remodeling. Lots of construction stuff everywhere. Makes it look a little run down, you know how it is during remodeling. But maybe it will be done soon, and I'm sure it's going to look great!

Koval Lane, where it's located, is a busy, busy street. At least it was today. And not nice at all. So no one out walking. Take a taxi or the shuttle, which we saw driving down the Strip.

I did take a few pics of what you see from the resort looking toward the Strip, and I'll post those later.

The Strip was sooooooooo busy today. OMG, it's going to be packed in June. And HOT!!! :scared1:
But you know what? I don't care. It will still be so much fun. :dance3:

I just thought of something.

On Thursday if ya'll decide not to do Hoover Dam, or on Friday if you don't do the Planetarium, what about hitting the outlet center? That's where Amy, Jane and I usually meet. At the Disney outlet. http://www.vegas.com/shopping/lasvegasoutlet.html

Then from there we go to Town Square for lunch. http://www.townsquarelasvegas.com/
They have a Tommy Bahama’s Tropical Café, a Claim Jumper, and a California Pizza Kitchen. And more shops, like Express, Gap, Gymboree, Bath and Body, etc.

Just another thought for some of those free days later in the week. :)

We went back down to the Strip tonight for the Earth Hour. It was so weird to see the hotels and casinos with their lights off. Neat though.
It was still packed down there. It took us over 35 minutes to drive from Treasure Island to the Bellagio. :scared:

Ok. I am getting my check off to Stacie in the morning. I am such a slacker.
Ok really I am just lazy & I need to find my check book, I never write checks.

I found $99 airfare one way. But hopefully I will get something better.
If I do end up scheduling my surgery at the begining of June. I will be there the entire time. :woohoo:

I hope you girls are having a great day!

Then find the check book, schedule your surgery, and get the plane tickets! Man, you really are a slacker!!

These are the pics I took yesterday. It's basically the view of what is across the street from the timeshare. And on the side of the timeshare is an empty lot with tons of construction equipment.

And as we were driving down the Strip, this pulled up along side us. It's a sign I tell ya!! :rotfl:

HEY!! Guess what?? I forgot to say that last night when we were driving on the Strip, we saw that they are opening a Serendipity 3 at Caesars Palace!
It's not actually in Caesars, but on the property in a separate building. They have one in New York City and I first heard about it on Oprah when she was raving about their Frozen Hot Chocolate dessert.

I think it's set to open sometime in April, so we can all go there in June!! Probably on the day we hit the Forum shops since it's right there. :thumbsup2 (we can eat there for lunch instead of the Cheesecake Factory if y'all want)

Here is a link to their website for the NY restaurant: http://www.serendipity3.com/food.htm

Oh my - that's where they have that $1,000 sundae!!!!!

Wanna split one with me? :confused3

I've been reading their menu. It's a bit pricey, but it all sounds so dang good!!! I think we could split some meals (or just get appetizers) and share some of the desserts. Not the $1,000 sundae though. LOL!! The Peanut Butter Frrrozen Hot Chocolate sounds like heaven in a dish! Mmmmmm.

ETA: This is what you get for $1,000:
Made with "5 scoops of the richest Tahitian vanilla bean ice cream infused with Madagascar vanilla and covered in 23K edible gold leaf, the sundae is drizzled with the world's most expensive chocolate, Amedei Porceleana, and covered with chunks of rare Chuao chocolate, which is from cocoa beans harvested by the Caribbean Sea on Venezuela's coast.
The masterpiece is suffused with exotic candied fruits from Paris, gold dragets, truffles and Marzipan Cherries. It is topped with a tiny glass bowl of Grand Passion Caviar, an exclusive dessert caviar, made of salt-free American Golden caviar, known for its sparkling golden color. It's sweetened and infused with fresh passion fruit, orange and Armagnac.
The sundae is served in a baccarat Harcourt crystal goblet with an 18K gold spoon to partake in the indulgence served with a petite mother of pearl spoon and topped with a gilded sugar flower by Ron Ben-Israel."
