Old Disney Store Gift Card Question

Hi!

I have a $15 Disney Store gift card that I received when I got my Chase Disney Visa. I tried to use it at the shop Disney site and it wouldn't take it. I heard something about Disney no longer owning the stores. Does this mean the giftcard is totally useless or would it work at a bricks an mortor Disney store?

You should call the phone number on the back of the card (I'm assuming there's a phone number there) and ask about using that old card. As far as I know, the old Disney Store cards should still be good at disneyshopping.com, as well as in the actual stores.

I tried to use the Disney Store Gift card I received from Chase in July at disneyshopping.com also and it wouldn't take it. Called the number on the card and it said it had $15 balance. So maybe it is a glitch with Disney Shopping. Will have to remember it next time we go to a mall that has a Disney Store and see if I can spend it.

If you're getting some kind of error code, then call disneyshopping. But, if you're thinking it's not working, just because it's not showing the amount deducted from your total... it doesn't do that. It just charges your gift card first, when your stuff ships out to you. It won't show the gift card amount deducted when you finish placing your order, it's just handled like a credit card would be.

Maybe it did take then. I just assumed that it did not. I did call the number after I placed my order and I got a recording about visiting shopdisney.com.
