Old Backlot Pictures

Back in July we visited the Disney Studio Backlot Tour. Was sad to see that the old movie homes were gone like the Golden Girls home and others. It was a short ride only the Canyon feature really left from the ride tour. Does anyone have any pictures of the Old Backlot Tour with the homes if so can you share them. Thank you.

I have some from 1989 (the year MGM opened I think), but I don't have a scanner. I do have a picture of the Golden Girl's house!

Do they even do any active taping of anything at Disney World anymore, save for the occasional special? I remember going to Universal Orlando and thinking it was so neat because they filmed actual Nickelodeon shows there, and I vaguely recall MGM was where The New Mickey Mouse Club was taped, but these are pretty much long gone now, aren't they?

As much as I got tired of seeing the Golden Girl house over and over, it is a shame that they don't do anything at either of these locations anymore.

Does anyone remember the Disney Insider Show where two hosts would take you backstage of various rides and shows? I feel like the Disney Channel should bring that back. I used to love to watch it! My cousin was once on that show when they were interviewing guests!

not much is filmed here at MGM , but occationaly a film or tv crew films in one of the empty studios. the most recent project is a new Muppets production but i can't say anymore.

That show was great! And once a month they would be at Disneyland. I miss that show.
