OKW vs SSR

Thanks in advance folks!

We are going in January for part of a week: for us, this is planning last minute! BCV and VGF (our home resorts) don't have availability for the whole trip.

We have SSR, OKW, and AKL to pick from. We want to try SSR or OKW due to the proximity to Downtown Disney. Other that SSR being a shorter walk to Downtown, any OKW/SSR experts have advice to sway us either way??

We've stayed at both. We LOVE OKW. I know it's not the most popular resort, but it's very pretty and the pool is great! The boat to DTD is nice! The best and biggest room we've ever had was actually there. It's not overly Disney themed, but you really feel like you are on vacation there!

That would be my vote! ENJOY!

You didn't mention what size room you are looking for, but the studios at OKW have two beds. We enjoy both resorts, but I think I would choose SSR. I like that there is a quick service on site. SSR also has a better themed pool and kids splash area, but that probably won't matter to you since you will be going in January.

Thanks for the input! Its just DH and I - usually we get a 1 BR but for less than a full week, we are looking at a studio. We're leaning towards SSR at this point due to the proximity to DTD but after researching OKW we at least have to walk over there! And consider it for a quick stay in the future!

SSR is beautiful and a short walk to DTD. Their studio has the queen bed and sofa and the studio at OKW has two queens, depends on what you would be more comfortable in.
