OKW top floors?

Do the villas in OKW that are on the top floors have cathedral ceilings or something that makes them "better" than lower floors?

Ones where the second floor is the top don't....just I prefer a balcony to a patio and you don't have any footsteps overhead.

We've had third floor on 99% of our stays, and they have a traditional ceiling.

I was in a third floor 2 bedroom once, it was a long way up at the end of the day (also with luggage). I didn't notice anything special with the ceilings. You do have a better view. Our one bedroom the past 2 years was on the second floor and there was no third floor in our part of the building, so no one was above us. If you look at Doc's survey, there aren't too many third floor studios & one bedrooms, most are 2 bedrooms and grand villas.

How top floors are better:

• Nobody is walking or jumping around above you (although we've never heard anyone walking or jumping around above us even when we haven't been on the top floor).
• The views might be a little better if you're higher up.

How top floors are worse:

• Carrying all your luggage (or groceries) up the stairs to the top floor -- especially when you're on the third floor.
• Walking up those stairs at the end of a long day, even if you're not carrying anything.

How top floors are the same:

• Same ceiling.
• Same everything else.

In the past we always requested a top floor at OKW. On our last visit, we didn't bother to make such a request. We were on the second floor (middle floor). It was just as good, and we didn't have as many stairs to climb.

There are a few new buildings with elevators, but the vast majority of buildings don't have elevators.

I've always requested a top floor at OKW as well. However, on our last trip, they only had a ground floor available and it was wonderful. It was so nice to not have to walk up those steps and our view was actually very lovely. Our patio looked out over some very nice landscaping and the canal. We never heard anyone walking above us.
