OKW to POR question

Can you walk from OKW to POR? If so, how long a walk is it? From what I understand, there's no boat from OKW to POR.

I have a studio at OKW for a few nights in a few weeks. It's just a friend and me. I understand OKW studio's have two beds, and at first I really thought that would be preferable to me, but now I'm thinking, I'd rather have the couch! I'd rather have a living room area for hanging out. I would sleep in the pull out sofa, and give my friend the bed.

I was looking at the pictures of OKW studio's and it just seems too much like a hotel room without the couch, is there any other seating in the room besides the table and chairs?

Not that I'm complaining, it was a last minute trip and I'm thrilled to be there, and we have stayed in one bedrooms at OKW and love the resort, I'm just thinking/planning ahead.

No, there is no other seating in the OKW studios other than the 2 chairs by the table. You can't walk to POR, but you could take the boat to Downtown Disney and catch the boat or a bus to POR.

POR is quite close but there is no walkway. The boats from OKW do not travel to POFQ/POR. As the PP noted, you can easily (although not necessarily quickly! ) transfer at DTD.

The studios are a nice size for two people. I will admit, though, that the lack of seating other than at the table can seem a little confining. While I am a major OKW fan , may I suggest that if you'd prefer a couch/bed combination that you look into the other DVC resorts? All the others have that layout. The one bedroom units at OKW are wonderfully roomy, but quite a bump in price.

Nope, you can't walk to OKW from POR. You'd have to take a cab if you don't have a car. Or the boat to DTD and boat back to POR. They are two different boats.

Depending on when you want to go between the resorts you can also take the bus to DTD and then go the second resort from there by bus. Take the boat one way and the bus the other for variety or add a park in between. Lots of options - just not walking safely.
