Okw/ssr July aug ?

Hi can anyone hazard a guess as to why there is no availability on WDW uk site for OKW or SSR in July or some of August for next year? I wouldn't have thought it was open yet to DVC . I am trying to get prices for 2013 for end of June so pricing next years for an idea, but tried various dates and not available. I know that virgin are selling it but a package is very expensive, thinking about DIY again. Any ideas?

Not sure why those resorts have disappeared for 2012 but they are available for 2011 so you could use that instead, I know its not the same but it might help you right now. I priced SSR/OKW (room only) for this year as we're going June/July but it was way more expensive than what we paid for a package with free dining and tickets last September. I know we had 42% off then, but no way would I pay what they're asking.

We're staying offsite instead (Floridays) as its less than half the price for the accommodation, we'll eat offsite too apart from two or three adrs, and we already have tickets with days left so we don't need to buy more.

Thanks for that , I wondered if disney might be putting a deal on, like the 42% one that they had for later in the year. I seem to remember that a couple of years ago they increased the free dining offer for during July as well. We stayed at OKW in oct last year with free dining and loved it, but as we are not going till 2013 and are restricted to school holidays AND now that my DH loved staying onsite I thought I would see what the prices were like. The other alternative is 2 rooms at a moderate maybe, as we have 2 teenage boys and 1 room for all of us is not on!!!! Will keep watching for deals.

Speaking as an OKW owner, I can't understand how you would be able to get accomodation before me (11 months out). I thought that only the unreserved accomodation was sold?

I believe there are still unsold points at SSR which is where the inventory for cash rooms come from.

No idea where you live but here in the UK we can book Disney hotels right upto the end of 2012. OKW or SSR is available with free dining and 42% discount to the UK market. An example of the great deal we can get, 3rd-10th Oct 2012 £777 ($1,282) or £111/nt ($183) includes free DDP for upto 4 people with purchase of tickets.

This August will be the 3rd year we have taken advantage of this deal.

As for the original problem, have you tried Complete Orlando to see if your dates show? excactly the same problem happened last year, no availabilty on Disney.co.uk but they had on CO, eventually came back on Disney's site.

What dates you looking for? I doubt there will be any discounts in July, I think both the 42% off & free DDP kcks in 1st August. July is peak time for US market.

thanks wayne, we thinking about end of june 2013 , as we stayed at OKW last year and loved it , even my DH did which was amazing!, we really want to stay onsite again, our boys will be 19 and 16 by then so if we had to go for 2 rooms we would.Restricted to school hols as dh college lecturer and we also have own business so would close for that period as annual shutdown. Would do DIY again as that was good, but still needs to be affordable, just need to keep eyes peeled just incase of deals.

End of June I would not expect the discount on OKW/SSR. Here are the dates for 2012, only upto 17th June

thanks wayne have just priced OKW on complete orlando for 30th June 2012 so that gives us an idea of what to expect. Many thanks for everyones help.
