OKW Slide!

While getting a massage at OKW we were told that a slide is being put in in March. Is this true? I hope so!

Sorry, just a rumor that has been floating around on and off for years.

Thats what I thought, but we questioned her about it. She said that although the members voted against it that DVC has now decided to overturn the vote and go with it because now more people are desiring one than before. She said construction on it is to start in March and should be completed by April. I guess that we will see.

At the OKW Annual Condominium Association Meeting held just this past week, the only renovation that will be done at the OKW pools is the resurfacing as stated. There will be no other changes in 2003 for the OKW pools.

Sorry, but rumors do fly as you can see.

She is mistaken about there having been a vote. There was never a vote on this subject, only a non-binding poll, sent to some OKW members. Considering the misinformation about the vote, I wonder if the "news" about the slide is also misinformation?

Too bad, the pool could use a slide, especially with pool hopping limitations on SAB. A slide is a good idea.

Just returned from OKW on 12/8. Asked several cast members specifically about the slide.

The response was always the same: although it has been talked about, there are no plans to add a slide.

Reason: would result in increased costs to members.
