I was just wondering if anyone remembers the pool rules at OKW. Can you bring your own pool float? Our two year old has a ring float that he uses and I was just wondering what the rules were. I'm thinking that you can not. If that's the case does anyone know what they provide at Hanks? Thanks for the help.

I think a small ring float would be fine. My wife and I used noodles in the pool on a recent visit with no problem at all.

We borrowed a lie jacket for my 4 year old from Hank's when we were down there. They also had life jacket's for smaller children, but I'm not sure how small they went. These were the life jackets like they have at the water parks and are good. They have two buckles in the front and a strap that goes between the legs.

I didn't see any other type of flotation device there, but I can't say for sure whether they had any or not.

We were at OKW last summer with my then 1.5 year old son. We brought down a blowup float that he used at home.

I forget if we read a sign or were told be a CM- but the 'rule' was you needed to use their life jackets. You can get them at hanks for free for as long as you need. We just got him one of theirs and that worked fine- it was alittle big, but not rediculous. We never tried to use his, so i couldnt tell you if they would really enforce the rule or they just ahve it to make some lawyer happy.

Our DD who is three has been using those "swimmie" arm rings that blow up. We used to put her in lifejacket but it was sooo restraining she hated it and couldn't move around. We've used the "swimmies" at the BWV, VWL and at Storm Along Bay and never had a problem. They are cheap! and you can find them anywhere. We bought about 6 pairs of them for 99 cents each at KMART and I give them out to anyone who has a pool etc. I've even given them out at the DVC resorts to people w/ small children.
