OKW pool music

I really wish the quietly played music they use to play at the main pool at OKW would come back. I really dont care for the DJ at the pool, I think its too loud and gets away from the OKW quiet secluded atmosphere. What do you think. I would rather OKW bring back the character breakfasts than them spend money on a DJ. Just my opinion of course.

My kids LOVE the DJ at the pool. They are only there 2 days a week (last summer anyways) which leaves the rest of the week free and quiet!

We love our home at OKW and enjoy the peacefulness but it gives my kids something to look forward to!!

The brought back the same style music as they used to have but not exactly the same as the music they had when most of us loved it so. I think the help got a little bored with the same music 24/7. As far as the band at the pool, I agree with you, there are enough problems at the pool already with a band hyping up the out of control people already.

The DJ at Vero is awful, not him but the loud music, we parked our selves over by the Tiger Lillly slide and it was still too loud! We are only 35 & 36, still go to concerts, but found this to be totally annoying!!!

There was a long thread on this exact same topic a while ago, and if I remember correctly I think it got a little heated. The OP of that thread said the same thing as the OP on this thread about not liking the loud music at the OKW main pool. I agreed with him and also mentioned the DJ and loud music at Vero. We were VERY much in the minority on that one. I think only one other person agreed with us. So I guess most people not only don't mind it, but actually enjoy it. Luckily at OKW there are other pools you can go to, but at Vero you are stuck with the LOUD music all day on the weekends.

I didn't love the DJ and music at OKW when we were there in the summer. We jsut used the quiet pool.

I just think the loud music takes away from Jimmy Buffet Margaritaville atmosphere, thanks for all your responses. I did not know it was just a couple days a week. I must have been there on those 2 days. Oh well, i will still go and love OKW for obvious reasons.

its only 1 or 2 days a week. its not bad. let the kids have fun and dance and play games with the dj. its a great way for kids to meet new friends down there to especially if they are alone.
