There is a group of us, 6 adults and 3 toddlers going to Disney. We are arriving there the Sunday after Thanksgiving. I currently have a 2 BR and a Studio reserved at Saratoga Springs for that time but was wondering if i should try to get a Grandvilla at Old Key West instead (i know it might be impossible at this point but i figured i could try). I have not yet stayed at either and it's basically the same number of points. I would like the extra space of hte grand villa but am thinking that the rooms are nicer at SSR. For those of you that have stayed at these 2 locations what would be your recommendation regarding location, rooms, etc.

Thanks!

We've stayed at both and loved both. SSR is newer and appeals to us a bit more decor-wise OKW however is well maintained and has more spacious accomodations. SSR is more centrally located to DD, which is a great hub to hop to other resorts OKW, however, is much quieter and a great place to take a break from al the WDW action. I really don't think you can go wrong Make the call and see if you can switch and if you can, that's your answer.

As already stated, OKW has more spacious rooms. Both are terrific resorts offering both bus and boat transportation. SSR is very close - within walking distance - to DTD. The GV units in OKW are wonderful and a real treat to stay in - we've never stayed in the GV units at SSR, just the one-bedroom units, but I'm sure they are very nice as well. It is true - both are great and I don't think you'll be disappointed with either one. :thumbsup2

Why not try the Treehouse villas? Occupancy is 9 people and they are priced the same as a 2 bedroom at SSR. You would then only need one villa instead of two. The Grandvillas are ridiculous in price IMO.

We've stayed in both the 2 bedroom and studios as SSR and love the location as well as the community center for the activities for the kids. However, I'd call to see what might be available at the Treehouse for your needs. Happy vacation.
