OKW or SSR for a water park only trip in 2019? What say you?

If you were going to go in June for 3-4 nights and only do the water parks which resort would you try to get into? I originally was just going to plan for my home resort, OKW, but now I am thinking maybe SSR for the transportation at Disney Springs.

Now isn't SSR going to be going through a refurb in 2019? That could make getting a room location request even tricker and OKW has just been refurbed. But the thoughts of just walking over to the Springs bus station which would result in direct transportation with the buses. Advice?

For the water parks? Either SSR ot AKV.
There is not direct bus to the wp anymore from the resorts. You have to change at DS for Typhoon Lagoon and AK for Blizzard Beach.
So SSR and AK are both the most convenient for one of the parks and not too bad for the other.
If you're concerned about the SSR refurb, then go for AKV.

The refurb will start when they finish OKW, I think late 2019. There are lots of rooms at SSR. I don’t think it will be hard to get at 7 months, but 4 months out during construction might be difficult

Ok, so the SSR refurb will start late in 2019, didn't realize that. Might just do SSR then. Or just use Uber. Not sure. What time does the first bus for Typhoon Lagoon pick up at Disney Springs, anyone know? And didn't realize the AKL or AKVs point for Blizzard Beach.

I second SSR with a Paddock or Congress Park (preferred) Room. Walk to DS for entertainment or for where you can get the bus to TL. The bus from SSR to DS is quite circuitous depending on where you are in the loop heading in or out of SSR. A reasonably fit walker will probably do better most times.

Ya, SSR wins out over OKW now. Especially with the boat from OKW docks at the very opposite end of Disney Springs, right? That would be a long walk right there to the Marketplace.

The boat from OKW lets out right next to the Boathouse. It is maybe a 3 minute walk to the Lego store and there is the bridge to the other end of the marketplace (kinda across from T-Rex).

Well maybe OKW will win out then. We will see.
