OKW or POR

Really having a hard time here. Those who have done both, which is better and why? We are comparing renting points and doing a studio at OKW or a standard at POR. We've done POR. They are the exact same price (within$10 for 8 nights).

Do you groove on Old South as a theme and don't care about a microwave or balcony? POR.

Note the OKW theme pool is about to start refurb, and your dates may overlap, dunno, since you didn't mention your dates.

Not until may. My only worry is it looks really spread out. Can you drive and park at your building?

Mostly. OKW is fairly spread out, yes.

They both have 4 bus stops internally so you're dealing with a lot of the same "spread out" issue.

Food court only at POR, bigger gift shop/grocery selection at OKW for food in room.
Both have great main pool and a couple of smaller quiet pools.
Both have boat to Disney Springs
OKW is definitely more serene, POR is generally busier with families. Not sure of your travel party.
OKW has a great Community Hall with activities for kids, plus shuffleboard, basketball court, fun activities.
Same distance to parks since they're on the same road.
Parking at OKW is generally closer to the room vs the parking lots at POR.
Most buildings at OKW do not have an elevator so if you don't like climbing stairs to your room, you'll have to request ground floor.

For us, we LOVE OKW, would always pick it.

We've stayed at both and prefer OKW. We enjoyed having a microwave in the room. Our personal experience, is that the busses were better at OKW also. Of course that can vary tremendously from trip to trip. Parking is very close to your room for the most part at OKW. Our last studio there, in the Miller Road section, the parking space was practically right outside the door. Just depends on what side of the buildings you are on.

I would stay at OKW. The rooms are larger than most resorts.

We've stayed at both and would choose OKW. The bus situation is much better than at POR. The rooms are huge at OKW.

The only negative about OKW is that it doesn't have good counter service options.

POR is more Disney IMO. Grounds are beautiful! Pool is good too! Ate at quick service often and all good.

OKW is condo-looking, but rooms are bigger and bathroom is really nice. We had breakfast at main restaurant and it was fabulous. Pool when up and running was good! Super fast slide. We did climb stairs to top floor, but we didn't mind it.
