We are just back from a fabulous trip to OKW, our first stay there. There were 8 of us, 5 in a 2 bedroom villa and three in a 1 bedroom villa. This was our first stay at OKW, and it was just a beautiful place.
We left Nov.8 early in am for the 3 hour flight. That went fine, but I do not care for Southwest and getting to the airport 2 hours ahead of time to get a seat. Will not be doing that again.
Anyway, arrived at airport about 11:30 am and was picked up by Tiffany Town Car. Did a great job, took us to Publix for a quick shopping then off to OKW.
Little disappointed with checkin, didn't hear any Welcome Home. The guys putting our groceries into cold storage were not very friendly, maybe having a bad day but got us off to a rocky start.
Well, rooms were ready after 4pm and a couple of the group stayed around and put away groceries, while others headed to Magic Kingdom. Then had dinner at Ohana's at Polynesian, very good and fun. We had around 25 at dinner and we had a blast. Others from our extended family were meeting at Ohana's and were in for the vacation week.
Went back to villas after dinner. They were great. Very spacious and clean and lovely. The master bed is a king size and so high off the floor I had to jump onto the bed everyday, short legs!
Boy, was I tired that night. Slept very well and when I woke and went out to the porch I realized we were on the sixth hole of the golf course, facing a pond. What a view! We were in building 62, right across the street from the hospitality house and restaurant and exercise room and everything else. I would definitely recommend this building. It also had an elevator. We were on the first floor.
Well, that's all for now. Any questions, I would be happy to answer. The trip was Magical.
