Hi I am currently trying to waitlist for Xmas week and I am shooting for a studio at OKW. When I called to waitlist, the CM said she could use both of my waitlists at OKW for a deluxe studio and a deluxe studio hospitality. What is the hospitality? Is it a separate booking category? How many rooms are there? I wonder if it makes sense to use both waitlists this way or it would make more sense to waitlist just the regular studio at OKW then use the other at a different resort. Can anyone shed some light on this booking category at OKW or point me to a place I can research it?

TIA

The hospitality house is the check-in building, right next to the main pool. The buildings close to it are in high demand so they were made a separate category. It's buildings 11 to 14 and 23 to 26.

Odds are probably low that the HH studio would come through so I would do another resort if you are considering that.

Thanks. Let me just add that this waitlist is for the beginning of the week. I already have the end of the week at OKW so that is why OKW is preferred over another resort. I am not sure if that makes a difference in your response. Ultimately, I want to end up at OKW.

Since you already have a reservation at OKW, it sounds like it's not the guaranteed HH location (you need to check your reservation). So if the HH waitlist comes through you will have to change rooms. The only way you would not have to change rooms is if your WL is for the same room category as you are already holding. I guess you really need to double check what your confirmed reservation is. The HH location is small, but if you don't want to WL anywhere else, it would be wise to hold on to both of them, but just be aware about having to change rooms if the HH comes through.

Here's a coded map of OKW. The Hospitality House villas are coded blue.

Didn't DVC recently add buildings 15 & 16, 62, 63, and 64 to the HH category?

No. I was the original poster for this information and it was false. I checked in with my HH reservation in August and was sent to building 16. When I asked both the CM and the manager why I was not in the HH location as I had booked the manager TOLD me that they had added these building to the HH booking category. When I returned home I wrote to MS/satisfaction team to verify this new information and a CM called me and said she had spoken with the OKW manager who said the night manager was wrong and this was not the case. I had my confirmation that showed I had the HH location booked, but my online confirmation had been modified by someone during that day (according to the MS/CM) and when I checked in I no longer was holding a guaranteed HH room. Though I did have my original confirmation showing that was what I booked. I don't know which ticked me off more, the night manager giving me false information, or the fact that someone went in and removed my booking category without me asking them to do it. I checked in late that afternoon (around 5:00PM) so I would have to assume that they gave my room away..:confused3...and they were trying to cover their butts and hoping that I wasn't someone who knew how it all worked. I did not do online checkin, but the next time I plan to arrive late, you bet I'll be doing online checkin just to get the room category I booked. It was my first Disney day arrival, which should've warned me that the rest of my trip would be riddled with issues....
