Help me decide! We initially thought we'd book a 2 bedroom and a studio at Kidani for DH, me our adult daughters and their husbands, and grandkids ages 3,4,5,6,7. The kids LOVE the pool at Kidani.

Now we're thinking about getting a Grand Villa at OKW since it's such a good points value and will give us more room. But is OKW good for the ages of the kids? We know we'd be happy at Kidani but kinda want to try the Grand Villa....but don't want to regret it.

Any advice?

With that many people, I'd vote the extra space! The kids realistically will like any pool, they have a kids play area alongside the main pool, and you're a little boat ride away to DTD. Oh, and did I mention the extra space? That way you can all be in the one unit and still have plenty of room for all.

The real issue is what is your home resort and when are you planning your trip? If OKW isn't your home resort, getting a GV there may be difficult, especially if you are going at a popular time.

Thanks for the input. Yes, the extra room is definitely a plus! I think we'll go for it and maybe pool hop one day to Kidani. OKW not our home resort but we're going off-season; I plan to book at exactly 7 months and I feel fairly confident (based on what I'm seeing online now; we're getting close to our 7 month date) that we'll be able to get a GV If not, we'll go to plan B.

I might be completely wrong, but I thought Kidani was a no pool hopping pool. I hope someone else will know. I hate to have you try to pool hop and not be able to do it.

You are correct. You can't pool hop to Kidani unless you are staying at Jambo House.

What's your idea of off-season? DVC busy times don't always line up with WDW busy times.

Thanks for that info; I didn't know that. We ended up booking an OKW GV but couldn't get one close to HH. I requested bldg 48 or 63 because it looks like they're fairly close to a bus stop. Anyone have another building number recommendation?

15 is nice with a great view of the golf course and the tee box, plus it is very quiet. Just a short hop to the Millers Road bus stop and Millers Road pool. But if you see the bus heading to Millers Road, you can beat it over to the HH bus stop and catch the bus there.

We've stayed In the GV in building 16. It's close enough to be able to walk over to the HH area and has a nice, open view of the golf course.

I would not request 48 since that is for the handicapped GV. Our favorite GV building is 15....Close to HH and close to Miller's Road.

Another vote for 15. There is on in bldg 19 I think that overlooks the Miller Rd quiet pool that was also very nice.
