OKW Grand Villa in January

Hi Everyone,
We are thinking about taking some friends with us to Disney in January 2009 and were hoping there might be a possibility of a GV at OKW (not our home resort). The two potential weeks we would go are January 4-9 or January 11-16. Both checking in on a Sunday, checking out on a Friday. If I called day by day, do you think I have any chance of securing a GV at the 7 month mark? Thank you for your insights!

GV's at OKW are very hard to get at the 7 month window. I wouldn't count on it. I'd book a GV at your home resort at 11 months just for back-up purposes.

I reserved a grand Villa for 6 days this coming January calling day by day at the eleven month window. At the seven month window I tried to add a day on either end of the stay and was unable to. Sorry.

There is a chance - I got a OKW Grand Villa in mid March 2006 for Sunday checkin, Friday checkout at the 7 month window. I didn't even call day by day (I was out of country and couldn't) or have to wait list. So it is possible. However I had a back up plan (2 bedroom + studio) if necessary.

So I would say try, but have a back up plan.

We may also be able to do the week of January 18-23. Would that week be any easier? We are buying annual passes this January and going January 24-February 1, so we would just need to finish up our trip by the 23rd. Thank you for your thoughts!

We plan on reserving a 2 bedroom and a studio at SSR (one of our home resorts), but I have a small hope that we might get a grand villa. We don't have enough points to rent a GV at SSR.

The third week in Jan is MLK holiday. Doesn't look good for you for these three weeks.
