OKW Grand villa for cash rental

do people actually pay $1200 per night, to stay in a OKW Grand villa?
or are they always taken by DVC owners with DVC I points??

IT depends on the time of year. There are certainly times when it is possible to rent an OKW GV, and we do know of instances w here they have been rented by Disney.

5 years ago I spent $650 a night to stay in one room at GF, $1200 a night for a grand villa would make better use of ones money. You get a 3 bedroom that is the size of a lot of people's houses at least at OKW. Yes people pay that price, and I really do not seed much difference between points and cash when it comes to spending it.

My brother and his family is staying in a OKW/Grand Villa, in Jan,2005, sunday-thursday night, for 180 DVC points

I feel that costs me $1800, for the 5 nights.

I would not pay $5750 for the 5 nights in cash

I appreciate your information, that people do pay cash for OKW grand villa, as well as DVC point usage

Is the okw grand villa, sunday-thursday, one of the most attractive use of DVC POINTS???

Kansas, I am a little different than most on this board, I would say you are spending $5750 worth of points for 5 nights at the GV. I must say I was surprised when I found out the other day that the GV at the other DVC resorts are much higher in price(points) when they are compared to say 2-2bedrooms at OKW the GV costs less but at the other resorts it costs more. I think the grand villa is a marvelous place to stay and well worth the points. You will be very happy and will get great value. Wait until you see the size of the place.
