OKW fold out for an adult?

We leave Saturday for our first WDW trip. We have 3 adults and 3 kids in a 2bdr and I planned to put my sister in law on the fold out couch, kids in the second bdr and DH and I in the master. I woke up the other night terrified that fold out would be one of those terribly uncomfortable couch beds you get in hotel rooms (you can feel the metal frame through the barely 2" thick mattress). Please someone assure me my S-IL will not hate me after a week sleeping on that bed?

thank you - Laura

PS: I noted on the 10 day forcast that the day we planned to see Illuminations is supposed to have scattered showers. At what point do you find out if they will cancel illuminations?

thanks

Most of the sofabeds at OKW are the new foam mattress kind that have no bar, but are like a platform bed. We have had several people who have used them and declared them very comfy! The biggest problem is that they are not quite as comfortable to sit on when it's made back into a sofa.

My oldest DD has slept on them many times and says they are very comfy.
I agree with Diane that they are a little firm for sitting on, but not really uncomfortable.

The sofa we had at OKW this past Christmas week did not seem to be the new type. We did not need the fold out bed so can't be certain about the mattress but it was not the same type sofa we had in September in building 55. Could they have put some of the new mattresses in the old sofas if they were otherwise in good shape? The adult who slept on the one in Sept. said it was very comfortable. My adult college student DGD slept on the one at SSR which has the foam mattress and declared it comfy.

Same here..DD loved the bed. I thought it was really comfy too. It's not as coomfy wjen it's a sofa, but we don't sit on ot much and we can always sit on the loveseat anyway.

We jsut got back and my not petite friend slept on the couch bed for 8 nights and declared it quite comfy.

I had to use the sleeper sofa at OKW this Christmas for a couple of nights and it is a heck of a lot more comfy than the sleeper I had to use at a local Quality Suites near home due to a power failure.
