OKW Extension

I know this subject is outdated..but I signed my refusal papers that we would not be purchasing the extra years and gave them to my husband to finish...

and as I was cleaning house this week...I found them...He never sent them in and no at OKW has ever contacted us..

Anyone have any idea what will happen next?

Send them in now. Can't hurt. My guess is that nothing will happen if you send them in.

If you do nothing at all, it sounds to me like you will owe Disney the money to extend -probably at the higher rate. Eventually, they will put a lien against your membership. It's possible that you will not be able to use your membership until arrangements to pay it are made.

The only way to know for sure is to call Member Accounting and ask.

I just mailed ours yesterday! I sent the postcard and dont recall getting anything else, but when we got home from our 3 week vacation we had a packet of paperwork from DVC. They gave us to Oct 2nd to return the docs or the money. They had the amount owed in the letter. I took off Thursday so we could go to the notary.

So definitely mail right away!

Yes, Carol is correct. The price they were billing me was the $20 per point not the intro price of $15.

We took our papers in when we returned from the Panama Cruise. We just asked at the OKW guest services and a car was sent from Saratoga for us, we were given refreshments also. They said most people are declining this as they would rather, if they want more points, to buy at a resort they can use now. After we had signed and a young girl had witnessed them we were given ice cream and a car was called to take us back to OKW. Wasted a bit of time until our apartment was ready.
