We had a wonderful time at both places. We got so many WELCOME HOMES. Vero is not into the welcome home mode though. We had no problems with either locations, the GV was just great and very clean and well kept. The only problem was the sofa bed-it was really bad. I couldn't even sleep on it and slept on the sofa not opened after the first night. The cottage at VB was just a great. We were in 1550 and it had a great view of the ocean. It was not hot at either place. We ate some great food. In Orlando we went to the Garden Grill which is always our favorite. We ate off the property several times-Perkins and Red Lobster. At VB we tried out Mr Manatee's and Capt Hiram's. Both were very good. We ate at "2002" and it has the greatest walnut crusted chicken. Ask at the desk for the directions. They may call it 2001 but it's name has changed to 2002. It is in VB. The vacation was just a wonderful as always and we didn't find anything lacking at either location. Everything was just as it is every May. Some things were closed but that is the way it is always in May. The new fire works in MK are great but make sure you sit close to the castle but on the right. There is a tree that brocks your view on the left. We will go again next year and get a better view. Overall we couldn't have asked for better weather and certainly not a better place to stay. DVC is and will always be the best family place for us. I had my whole family with me and it was the best way to spend Mother's Day.

I'm glad you had such a wonderful vacation!

Thanks for the report on our 2 favorite resorts Merilyn. We can't wait until we are at VB and in the Beach Cottage next month.:bounce:

Glad y'all had such a nice time, Merilyn. We were in 1550 at VB last year also, and the swing was missing off the front porch at that time. Has it been replaced? Also, in the master bath, there was no "step-up" to get into the jacuzzi. Is this normal? It was the only beach cottage we had ever used at VB, so I didn't know. I know, at OKW, there is a step-up to all the jacuzzis that we have had in 1BR, 2BR, and GV. Glad the weather cooperated with you - it rained all week long up here near Memphis.

We did have a swing in 1550. My sister used it a whole lot. That is her favorite thing to do at VB, read and swing. There was no step up to the jacuzzi. I reallly haven't even noticed one at OKW either. We get the handicapped GV at OKW so maybe there isn't one. We didn't even use them. Oh, I forgot to tell you all that they mentioned at the front desk something about a air mattress bed available now at OKW. I didn't much pay attention, but someone else may know something. We didn't need one so I kind of just tuned it out.

:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Reading all this and seeing the map from Nick makes me want to go right now.

I don't know if I can even work today & tomorrow. I just can't wait, I'm so excited.
