Thanks to all that post to these boards - they help out alot. We stayed at SSR in November and just returned from OKW this week. Thought I would share my thoughts in case anyone was trying to decide between the two.
In the end - I liked SSR better for the following reasons:
1. Counter Service food - there just comes a time when you just want a slice of pizza, a salad, bowl of soup or a fresh cookie. SSR has a very good food area for this and complete meals. Just simple - quick and easy. OKW has a very limited menu for this type of food.
2. Groceries - SSR has a better selection to stock up your room with a few things. (put I would still recommend an off site grocery service for either).
3. SSR is a shorter walk to DTD than OKW.
4. Pools and playgrounds a bit nicer and seem to be more centralized at SSR.
5. Buses - wait time the same - but because OKW buses go into all the little neighborhood pods - seems like it takes forever to get in or out or the resort itself.
Don't get me wrong - would stay at OKW again - but in the end just liked SSR better.
