Ok here is my dilemma. I currently have OKW booked for April 20th for 3 nights then I transfer to AKLV Jambo House in a Savannah View room for the last 7 nights. Should I cancel AKL and switch all my nights to OKW to save on points?

I would suggest no. The points are cheaper but the views at AKVL are fantastic. If you are taking children they will love watching the wild animals from the savanna view.Treat it as a special trip and enjoy the flexability of DVC.

It depends if you are going to spend a lot of time in the room and around the resort watching the animals.

If you will spend a lot of time at the parks and will be returning to the AKL after dark, then the savannah view will not have a lot of value to you.

There are some lights lighting the savannah, but it is not like viewing it during the day. IMO

We have stayed at AKL in both a SV and nonSV room. We chose nonSV because we knew we would be at the parks and in the pool a lot for that trip.

We love OKW and stay there most often, but do want to try all of the resorts.

If you are looking to save points and don't mind switching resorts why not go to a AKV standard view? We LOVED our SV room when we were there in Dec and stayed in a standard view a few weeks ago and thought it was great as well. You can still sit outside and watch the animals and there is tons of look outs in the hallways where you can see the animals.

It would be whatever you preferred and dependant on what is available. At this late date, I'm going to say you might not find much available.

Thanks everyone for your help. I'm going to call MS right now and see what is available.
