OK Here is my review covering the holiday period

Check in We arrived about 1 PM on the 27th. 5 minute wait to check in. I was asked if I had any requests, and reviewed that I had asked for top floor non smoking. I was assigned a great room in building 38 with a great view of the golf course.

Room Everything in the room worked well, the kitchen counters and cook-top had not been cleaned. Called and was told they would clean next day( it was 9 PM by the time I realized it was dirty). They came and made all the beds again and gave us fresh towels, but did not clean the cooktop. Another call and the next day they came again, all new lines and sheets and finally cleaned the cooktop.

Over all things were fine, the cleaning staff does not speak English, we had a difficult time asking for items when we saw the staff, and when we ran into the housekeepers on T&T day.

We have stayed at OKW at least 10 times and ask for a top floor as I am a light sleeper, never have we lived under the the nosiest rudest people in the world. I am sure when they came into the room it was time to play tag by slamming the every door in the room, again and again. One night at 11:30 we called the front desk to quite them down. Add to this the people sitting on the stairs smoking and it was the oddest/strangest trip to OKW ever.

Thanks for reporting.

Sounds like you had some pretty inconsiderate neighbors! Of course, that isn't the resorts fault, but I have often found it is sometimes difficult to get the resort to do anything about the rude people if you happen to get them in your building. I did get them to stop smoking in a non-smoking unit once though, by reporting them to the front desk, and they were told they had to stop smoking, or they would have to leave. The smoking stopped immediately!:thumbsup2

I too get frustrated by the inability to communicate with the housekeeping staff, but a call to housekeeping from the pre-arranged number on your unit phone usually gets you to someone who can communicate. The problems we have had is that they still don't understand what is needed. We had this issue a couple trips ago in building 15. Housekeeping did not remove the previous guest's soap from the soap dish in the shower, and I wanted the shower and offending soap re-cleaned. Instead, they changed our sheets and towels, but the soap remained. I called again and explained that I did, in fact end up taking care of it myself, but I wanted housekeeping and teh supervisor to know about it. Difinitely a communication issue.

Sounds like housekeepng answer to any problems is to change the sheets and towels.:rotfl: :rotfl:

Big Yankees fan here, but I have to love those twins doing big things with a very small payroll
