Okay, what's the FIRST thing that tells you, "Wow, we are DEFINITELY at WDW!" ??

well i love the smell at polynesian reminds me of when i was a kid for some reason.

Walking into the lobby, of w/e hotel we happen to be staying at, for the first time.

Also hearing some familiar background music. You really have to pay attention to hear it, but if it wasn't their you definetly miss it.

When I get lost trying to find our resort. (lol) It always takes me about a day to get used to the road system.

I realize it when I am in Ocala at the AAA Welcome Center. That does it for me because when I stop there, I know I am very close to the magic.

Ok, it's been a few years since we've been, so don't laugh if it's not still there, but there is that cute disney radio broadcast that would loop on the FM radio...gee, I think you can pick it up around Ocala if I'm not mistaken. It's got "live" broadcasts from splash mountain and jiminy cricket telling you about environmentality and reminding you to wear sunblock because that florida sun gets ho'ot. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, that gets us excited...as far as realizing I'm "home" it's when you step through the turnstiles and smell the candy on mainstreet and hear the music. Brings tears to my eyes.

I do get excited when we're driving under the arches, and seeing al the signs, and the billboards with the ride commercials. And I do get excited when we finally get our keys for the hotel/park. And I'm jumping up and down on the boat when we first get to MK, but for me, the only time it seems real - that I know I'm actually in Disney World, is when I first get through the train station at Main Street and I'm greeted with the sight of the Castle right in front of me. Seeing the spires are good, but there's nothing that beats the feeling of seeing the whole Castle.

How many months? 11? Maybe I can presuade my aunt to taking a day-trip when I go to Daytona in January to visit the college I'm going to go to.

The monorail ride from the Grand Floridian to the Magic Kingdom!!!!

Seeing the first Disney bus, driving under the Welcome to Disneyworld sign, and arriving at our resort and hearing Welcome Home. Brings tears to my eyes everytime.

The $3 bottled water...

No, just kiding. This is kinda unique, but when I see DTD, I get excited and realize, Wow! Im finally here!

I first said it was arriving at the resort, but this time, I realized it was this (I cut Mickey out due to driving and the camera delay):

The first time I see any of the parks or the attractions! I love to see Blizzard Beach, Tower of Terror, Spaceship Earth, and many, many more! It definitely tells me that I'm in the World!

Jessica :flower:

Here are mine:

1) Going under "The Arch"

2) Seeing the Castle, while walking down Main Street

3) Walking into the Emporium

Aaahhhh -- what peace! :flower:

Mine is going under the arch...it just brings a smile to my face and makes me want to giggle or do a happy dance.

For me it is definately going under the arch if we drive. If we fly it is taking the monorail from the terminal to the hub of the airport. Since it is the same voice there as at Disney it brings us right into the Disney mood!

simply by getting off of the airplane in MCO does it for me!!! :sunny:

....is that your opinion, or do you know that to be TRUE??? (I never noticed the similarity ~ guess I'll just HAVE to go back and check for MYSELF - :teeth: !)
