I always lick one random piece of silverware in the drawer as we're leaving the villa for the last time.

LOL, sorry, couldn't resist.

Actually, I'm as big a germaphobe as any who have posted. I always pack a full size can of lysol, which gets used in its entirety as soon as we arrive. Then I start in with the clorox wipes.

I won't even go into the survival kit that gets packed in the backpack for using restrooms in the parks.

It's just the two of us, so we usually stay in a studio. I guess I've never thought about the advantage that the "silverware" is disposable and wrapped in plastic. LOL

I don't wash the sheets before I sleep in the bed.
I do walk in bare feet on the carpet.
I don't remove the bedspread before I use the bed.
I do lay on the bedspread from time to time.
I don't rewash the dishes before I use them.
I do use the toilet and tub without recleaning them.
I don't carry Lysol to clean the door handles, remote control, etc.
I do use the hot tub from time to time.
I don't carry Purell or any other alcohol based hand rub.
I do wash my hands frequently.
I don't wipe off the silverware at restaurants before I use it.
I do cover my sneezes.
I don't think you want to kill all germs.
I do think that some people create their own illnesses by trying to avoid all germs.

I totally agree! I'm vigilant about washing my hands and many times I"ve come home from a trip with a cold but thats about it.

I have to agree with most. I think people are geting sicker when they try to avoid the germs. Our bodies are designed to fight them, but if you take the germs away at a young age, when you are exposed later, you get sick.

Ditto........makes you wonder how any of us grew up and made it to the ages that we are today. As a kid we used to pull up these weeds that we called sour grass and eat them, OMG, an animal could have done the nasty on them........but here we are today, alive and God willing in good health. I do carry Purell with me and we do use it, but all of the etreme measures that some take in my opinion are slightly anal. Just my opinion folks. We are seldom sick and just enjoy ourselves without all the worries.

But, now I do believe in karma and now that I have said all that......hope we don't end up

The only thing I do (unless something is obviously dirty) is to dump the ice out of the ice maker and let it make fresh ice. I don't like the idea that someone may have been grubbing around in the ice that is going in my drink, so I get rid of it.
