Trip: March 28th - April 2nd 3nites in CSR and 2 nites in Swan Hotel

myself, DH, DS and Disney son's friend (DF)....later on trip DD

To start:
This trip was specifically to watch DD march in MK parade with her high school band. It was absolutely wonderful and yes I would do it again. We volunteered to be day chaperones for kids which meant we would follow schedule school set up for them (:scared1: :scared1: )

DH & I leave newark airport 7:30 am for the world. DS and (DSF) (both 16 yrs old) will show up around 10:00 pm later that evening. They both had sports events that afternoon. We are Staying at CSR but DME will not let them ride the bus because they are not 18 yrs old. So DH & I rented a car to pick them up We actually kept the car the whole trip which ended up a good idea.

We were on DDP for 3 days....we got to CSR around 11:30 aM. Check in was a breeze. We have never stayed in this resort before but I was pleasantly surprised. Our room was ready. I had requested Cabana 9B but received Cabana 8A. This was okay. it was right in front of Bus Stop #4 and close to pool and short walk to main bldg. Prior to finding room we went to concierge to check on old tickets we had and how many days left we had.
I was so happy to find out that we had multiple visits left on water parks.
Great!! because both boys wanted to do that for a day. (yippee) saved myself some $$$ there.

I am sorry to say that we did have a little bit of trouble finding the room. Probably just my feeble mind..But found room clean and pleasing to the eye. I loved having a curtain that seperated the bathroom area from the bedroom. The mini fridge was cold and we used it to stock water and soda plus some fruit. We also took advantage of the coffee part in the morning. Double beds which we had to get used to but we managed. We also brought an aerobed because the boys did not want to sleep together. Actually plenty of room for all. We were in room 8223 which is a corner room. Absolutely no view of lake but that was okay because there is no balcony to sit on and plus we were out 95% of the time

DH& I unpacked and went to DTD to enjoy lunch at Wolfgang pucks express. Delicious. I would highly recommend even if not at DDP.

We went back to hotel, and went to pool...Was so marvelous to enjoy an hour or two just floating around pool and we even got to use the hot tub:yay: :yay: :yay: Pool water temp perfect and plenty of seats for us even though we did not show up until 3:00 pm.

Was full from late lunch so just waited and picked up boys at 9:45 pm. Ran them through the Mickey D's by CSR and brought them back to room. They were so hyped up that we let them go swim a bit. By the time the did that, took a tour of resort and back to room it was around midnight.

We had to be in MGM by 8:00..soo off to bed we went!!!

Thursday, March 2th. - unfortunately DD plane majorily delayed and they did not get into their resort ASsports until 1:30 am. So everything pushed back an hour or two. Weather beautiful and was really fun going on RnR with lots of people you know....what a trip!!! However, not getting to parks until 10:45 am is tough...luckily I let DS and DSF go out early. Boys went to AK , rode EE and then got fast pass for it. Majorily crowded!!! they ate at tusker house and loved it. both had chicken, DH & I ate CS next to star tours. I had caeser salad and he had turkey sandwich. we both enjoyed it. Later that evening kids met up with us in chefs de France for dinner. We enjoyed it but I prefer lunch there.:goodvibes
I had a wonderful fish,DH had steak as well as DSF whom both said it was good, not great. However DS short ribs were disgusting. Total fat. I ended up sharing my dinnner with him. Desserts in this restaurant were fantastic
We all got something different and all enjoyed. Service was okay not bad but I have had better. All in all good time:banana:

Need Round 2.
I chaperoned a trip 4 years ago, and it was no vacation, it was a lot of hard work. This year, I enjoyed our dd and her highschool band, so it will be fun to read yours if you come-on-back now, ya hear!
