First let me say it was great to meet you and your friends on Saturday morning. I enjoyed our breakfast together. We should get together again sometime to crop or go to Amandalinz.

So, do tell was Saturday better than Friday night? How many of those $$ you brought with you did you spend and what did you buy?

What happened for lunch and dinner on Saturday.

I don't have much to compare to but -

The Hotel -

AUGH - Beautiful accomodations extremely lacking in pleasant personnel - I could tell you more stories about rude disgusting things at the hotel - from the 'gift store' lady that we 'interuppted' on her personal phone call when we stood their waiting to ask if she had an item - 'What Do YOU want' she says
To the bartender who called last call as he took our FIRST order for a drink at 11pm on Friday - because he had been 'sitting there for 2 hours with noone there' (well there were 6 people sitting there now - til we therefore cancelled our drink and went to change so crop in jammies)
We brought our bathingsuits but couldn't find a jacuzzi and the pool area was grossly smelly (not like chlorine - but like mold :( )

The Lunch - was great I had yummy clam chowda a turkey buly roll coke a little tiny scoop of non so great ziti just to say I tried it, and a VERY YUMMY frosted brownie!

Dinner - we bailed and went to Uno Chicago where I had and OH SO DELICIOUS serloin and shrimp - they were offering the same bulky rolls, just s diferrent pasta and we needed something REAL to eat! if you know what I mean!

The Personnell form the KISS event -

were WONDERFUL though
when I was looking for a matchbox car to do a layout (I wanted to run the tires through ink and roll it across my page - one of the ladies actaully went out to her car to find one! LOL)
They were very upset about the other problems with the hotel - that had NOTHING to do with them!

As for the available tools for usage - not worth going there for if that is what you want - they had a sizzix with 1 die - the tags, a quikutz with one alpha set, MM date stamper, xyron that was empty the next day  and miscellaneous other small stuff!

One of the girls with us won the CK font cd which was cool -
It appeared that the same girls kept winning everything though:rolleyes: I NEVER win anything! lol

The Classes-
I took Queen of the Crop that was cute - we got a crown, sash, and made a pin and a layout then we went and took pics of each other in a royal chair that we will add to the layout later!

All ABout ME was AWESOME the lady who taught it has been published in CK a few times , actaully teaches at CKU and is from Maine -
she worked very hard on her presenation and was WONDERFUL!
The layouts are GORGEOUS

Watercolors- very kewl class - I learned how to make pretty much any color paper I need with watercolors, make designs in it with saran wrap, use color water pencils on stamped images and use masking stuff - very kewl too!

I will post all the layouts later for you to check ou!

The Vendor Faire -

was MUCH smaller than I anticipated -
I didn't do to much damage!
although at 9pm they started some fun SALES for people at the crop -
one I LOVED -
for every 10 pieces of clearance 12X12 paper you bought at 30 cents a piece you got to also pick a card from a deck and get that many free
and/or 10 sheets of stickers at 80 cents a piece same deal (Bo-Bunny press, me and my big ideas - good stickers)

I bought 30 pieces of paper
10 sheets of stickers about $20 or so

I WON 16 sheets of stickers
and 13 sheets of paper -
HOW KEWL WAS THAT

The lady in front of me got her WHOLE order FREE! Even the NONsale stuff! She had the JOKER!

I got 8 layouts done!

I got to meet crazyforpooh and Paulinewdw which was AWESOME!

Well it has taken me all morning to write this between other things getting done LOL - time to go mow the lawn!

Glad you had fun at the crop. I wish I had kown about it as I would have definately gone!!

I'm looking forward to going to the Paradise weekend in Manchester.

Who will be there from these boards? I'd love to put some faces with names.

A friend attended that class, too :)! she didn't tell me about having her picture taken. It's a small world ...

UGH! Snapfish for sharing..no good! What I do is upload them to my computer then up load them either to the DIS site or somewhere else that does the sharing...Sorry!
But I would love to see it!

It is digital that I have on my computer - where do upload it to the DIS site?

So Patty what all did you bring with you? I am going to one in Dec and need to know how much I should pack! LOL! I was in Organized living last night looking to see if they had some type of metal folding small stand to put on the table to make a shelf! LOL!

now my house will not get clean and my kids will be ignored while I spend all day trying to do this LOL!
JK it'll just take me a week to get it on here!

As for packing - I ultimately brought almost EVERYTHING except all my paper, my desktop rotary cutter, and some miscellaneous other stuff!
My BF doesn't have a lot of scrapping stuff and mooches of mine so she was the one who said 'just bring it all!.

I did use a few thigs that I was not going to bring - and a lot of it I never even touched:rolleyes:

It was only 5 bags/totes so it wasn't toooo bad! Thank goodness they have those carts though!
