...when should I buy our tickets for our trips next year?

We were planning on buying AP's for 2005, for the first time ever since we will be going in both January and September.

But since they sent the survey out, does anyone think they will implement a discount before the end of the year?

I realize it may not be on AP's, but then again it might.

Should I wait until we get to WDW to purchase the AP's seeing as there isn't any pre-purchase discounts for AP's anyway?

Thanks!

I would NOT wait. Ticket prices usually increas in January and September. I would get the voucher for the AP now and take my chances this year. I am quite sure any changes will be happening after the new year.

I would wait. Didn't AP's just go up in March or April? I don't think they will go up again by the end of the year.

Yup-they just went up in March (I'm pretty sure). I would also wait.

Hi Annie

What month does the AP expire, the month you buy them or the month you activate them? I do not remember, I think it is when you activate. I know that I have an AP now which expires in August. I will not renew then since we are not going again until next August and then again in May, make sense? So I would just buy a new AP August, 2005.

I would wait until the Fall when the new member handbook comes out. Maybe they will have something in that covering some wonderful new long overdue discount.

They expire one year from the DAY you active it.

Unless it's a renewal and then it becomes active the day your previous AP expires no matter when it is first used.

If Disney does add a discount, will it be off the discounted internet price, or will it be off the regular price? If it's off the regular price, would it really be a deal?

There are no discounts on the Annual Pass. The price you pay over the Internet is the same as at the Disney Store or right at the park gates.

With the current UPH discount, the discount is off the regular price, not the advance purchase price. The advance purchase price is about 8% off, so really the DVC discount is very small. Buying at the front desk they usually allow you to drop the first and or last day, so there could be a savings there.

That is a good point, if they give a DVC discount on hoppers but it's only off the gate price, it will not be much difference.
