The incision on my head appears to be healing nicely. Pain hasn't been too bad the past couple of days and i'm almost to the point of forgetting it's there. Except for the itching. the itching that I cannot scratch for fear of opening up stitches!! So now I'm walking around the house, gingerly patting myself on the head like a narcicistic puppy to try and relieve the itch!!! Skin cancer sucks.

Oh man! On your head? Ow. Glad they caught it! I don't know anything that would help with the itching and having stitches. I hope someone does. That has to be annoying!

Heal quickly!

ETA- I have had a skin cancer too. Basal cell, on my arm. That is scary news. I use sunscreen every time I go out now.

over the counter benadryl should help when you don't mind a little sedation.......

Crap! Skin cancer on your head!? How the heck did they find it? Sorry if you have already shared this story but the search feature is down.

yeah, I had a basal cell carcinoma on the side of my forehead. lots of stitches, so lots of itches. It was a bump that kept scabbing and not healing, so i went in and they biopsied it. Then they weent in this past week and removed it by Mohs surgery.

Yikes! I ended up getting a second opinion on my bump. The first doctor kept dismissing it for over a year. Maybe longer, I don't remember. I left that group, not because of that, she was hard to get an appointment with! I showed the new doctor, she didn't like the look of it and had it biopsied. I was so glad she was curious about it!

Granted, I imagine it could've changed over time, but it looked the same to me. Anyway, a second opinion is a wonderful thing! :)

I'm glad it was found for you and it's behind you.
