I was thinking of going to the West Palm Beach and Miami State Fair later this year. I did plan a Dania Beach Hurricane meet, but no one was interested.

I feel a little like I'm intruding on a party, one that I've been peeking into since I spent a good part of last night reading the first 25 pages of this thread.
I don't know how I didn't find this earlier, being a night owl AND "Single Girl Extraordinaire"! I think it must have started when I was taking a break froom the DIS, and then I tend to stay away from threads that have a boatload of replies.
Anyway, I really can relate to a lot that you guys are talking about, so I thought I'd like to stick around a while if I'm not intruding.
I'm 30, no kids, never married, never even lived with a boyfriend, broke up with my last boyfriend about 2 years ago (I wasn't joking with the "extraordinaire"!) I'm very independent and a bit of a homebody, spending lots of time with my 2 dogs (oh yeah, and there are 2 cats around here somewhere). I moved to Orlando a year ago and have not even been interested in seeking out someone to date. Now that I'm getting more settled in and have gotten some things taken care of in my life, I'm thinking about making dating one of my resolutions for the new year. How dorky is that?
Anyway, I see some of you are somewhat in the area. I'm not making a big deal out of NYE, but was talking to my cousins about possibly going to enjoy some sushi & karaoke at the Swan tomorrow night. We stumbled over there last year and there was no cover charge & it wasn't too packed. So if you're up for a low-key night out, you might consider it. There were even kids there last year!
