Okay...I've Called the Late Night DISers, Now I'm Calling the Single DISers (Part 2)

Wow,seems like you are busy busy PW. Goodluck with everything.

Went out this weekend, it's ben awhile. Friday night, went out and I almost had to bail a friend out of jail, because he was acting stupid. Over me at that. And he's only my friend. So I told him that if he goes to jail I'll let him stay there, LOL. Then I said well when they let you out just walk to my house and I'll take you home. (because the police station is like a blk from my house)

All in good fun,I had a blast. Although I didn't get enough sleep. Oh well you only live once right. :)

MDP...Yes, busy is the word! Good thing I have spring break this week. I should start the list...call moving companies tomorrow, get oil changed, have to go re-register the van. Ha! A couple weeks before I'm probably leaving? :earseek: I was due in Feb. and am late.

Oooooooooooooooooooo...hope your friend didn't do anything "stupid." Hope he learned a lesson. He must be at that age when you don't learn them. Fun rules over common sense apparently. Been there...glad I don't do it any longer. ;) If you have a lack of sleep, at least you had fun in the process. :teeth:

PW- Wow things are really going fast!!! I hope it all works out for you.:D

I enjoyed getting out of town for the weekend and spending time with my Mom and sister. I still think of moving up there. It's so nice up there. I recently had a call about a job up there but it involved call and I can't just leave dd6 alone in the house when I get called in to work in the middle of the night. :(

The 51 yr old "old guy" lives in the Keys. It's a beautiful area but I don't want to move any further south. I want to head north. I haven't even read about him.

PW- Did you ever take that career test that I had previously done? I forgot the name of it.

Thanks, Legs!! Yes, what a pace! When it all settles down, I'll be bored again. Little changes don't interest me. It has to be something BIG! ;)

Glad you had a good time with your mom and sister. I'll be looking forward to visiting my sister occasionally once I'm up there. :) Nope...You can't exactly take Call. I hope something else that works will turn up for you!

The "old guy"...are you tempted to read about him or will you just close him out?

Yes, I took that career test. Strangely enough, one of the careers it came up with was a SECRETARY! The area I'm trying to get away from. I've always loved office work and find it fun, but it sure doesn't pay anything! That's my only complaint about it. The counselor started asking me about other types of office work. And I jumped when she said HR! :teeth: I once had a temp job in an HR office and really liked it. That's a pretty good possibility. Still in an office and definitely pays more. We were looking into managerial positions. Possibly research. Possibly a couple other areas. :teeth: The counselor was saying that I don't specifically need a college degree to get started in it, but it would be good to get the degree down the road any way. Said there is some organization where you would become certified in it. Something else to think about!! :teeth:

I just found the test- it's called the SIGI Plus. It gave me a list of 51 varied occupations that I might be good at. This test was about self-assessment but it didn't narrow it down to any one occuptaion. It didn't clear up my confusion.
What is it that you would get certified in?

I may read about old guy just to see what his passions are;)

PHR and SPHR...Professional Human Resources and who knows what else. LOL!

http://www.hrci.org/handbook/phrsphr_index.html

Seems every occupation is hopping on the bandwagon. It was the same story at the hospital. They wanted me to become certified as a Credentialing Specialist. Sheesh! I had been doing the job 8 years, that's not enough?????????? I had reached burnout and knew I didn't want to be doing that much longer. So my choice was become certified or leave the job. So I quit! :teeth: Back to the job hunt when I get to Virginia!

Yup...SIGI...that was it. I had quite a list of occupations for me also. Among them were and anthropologist and an air traffic controller. :teeth: I used to know a guy that an air traffic controller in the Air Force. Talk about your tedious jobs! Those little blinking lights on the screen must show up when you close your eyes! LOL!

I read about old guy and there was no mention of sex! Hurray!
He's a pilot who lives in the Keys and his passion is searching for old Spanish Galleons, then diving and recovering any artifacts. Sounds interesting. Hmmmm............

LOLOLOL! You guys are just cracking me up tonight. Hmmmm...maybe it's the stress of moving!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :earseek: You and many others, MDP! I definitely feel like I'm the odd one out. LOL! And I keep thinking of DHT saying it was coooooooooooold and windy! Actually, he also said it was colder than h-e-double tooth picks. LOL! Let's hope it's colder than that!!! Ouch!

Hey Doc, I miss you! Hope everything is OK.

Suzanne, any news on the detective?

It looks like I will be meeting Barry next Wednesday. Anyone want to join us at Astroworld??? It is such a beautiful park with some of the absolute best roller coasters. ;) Barry, any idea what is up with the Texas Tornado (or something like that - Twister?)? It is my favorite ride there and it's no longer listed on their site. But, I drive by Astroworld at least twice a so I know it is still there.

So it snowed a little here today! YUCK! I looked out the window in the middle of class and my professor and I were both like oh it's crappy outside at the same time LOL! The other day it was like 60 and I didn't need a coat, today I have on sweats and TWO shirts and I have to wear my heavy coat! What's up with that!

"You know your from Chicago if you have to use your heat and air conditioning in the same day" LOL I love that quote.

It was cold here this morning, too. 53 degrees!:earseek:

That's what I didn't like about the cold in NYC- putting on so many layers.
