TB-I agree with the Bachelor...I think they really do look like they are in love. My dd thinks he is ugly but I think his kind of cute.

As for our plans for tomorrow my aunt called and asked us to come over for dinner so we are going to do that instead of stay home alone. Then we're going to go to my sisters, take the kids to see Polar Express and spend the night...she lives in Denver but it is about 45 min. away so we never see each other.

Good news! DBF will be home Dec. 2! He will be here until Dec. 31...wish he could stay until Jan. 1 but I will be happy to have him here for as long as I can get. So now he is thinking of taking a quick weekend trip to Disneyland! I am not sure if we can fit that one in but it would be a fun last minute thing to do.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody! I'm staying home with my family. My brother just got in late last night early this morning. Going to watcht he Macy's Thanksgiving parade and stuff myself. Love this time of year.

Yes, that's how I found out they have the special birthday parties. There is no minimum so it could be just dd and me. And her doll Molly of course

DD is glued to the set watching the Macy's parade.

I'm trying to decide how and when to tell dd about NYC. I don't think I could wait until July. It would be fun to plan everything together.

I swore off reality shows so I'm not watching the Bachelor. Well, I swore off all but one, oops, make that two. Amazing Race (getting tired of it though; never thought I'd say that) and The Apprentice (my fave).
But my all time favorite show is Desperate Housewives.

Glad you're spending it with family, Suzanne. I mentioned the parade to DS this morning...no interest in it at all. I used to watch the entire thing every year when I was a kid. He's never been interested in it.

I was reading about the parties, Legs. Sounds like a little girl's dream!! Your DD will be very lucky. Is your DD good about things when you tell her about them early? I remember the first time we were going to Disney. I couldn't keep it to myself and told DS. Yikes! Every day he asked if we were going. LOL! Every day for a couple months!!

We put up the christmas tree and decorations today. Need to get some pics of bri and myself in front of it for x-mas now.

We put up the Christmas decorations this weekend too. It's great having a house again! I had an artifical tree from my divorce so I was excited to be able to use it again. We paid a fortune for it so as I am putting it up I find that I am missing a piece of it and it is no where to be found! Darn! Almost decided to by a real tree but I like to have it up so long that I hate for it to fall apart all over....so went on a quest for a new tree. Finally found one..9.5 feet tall...why I thought we needed that tall of a tree I will never know! We have vaulted ceilings so I thought it would be great. But I could not get the tree in my car! Thank goodness a man walking by in the parking lot took mercy on me and helped me get it in my trunk and then I had to go back in the store for twine to hold my trunk down. Made it home without loosing the tree and then was trying to push and pull the box in my door and another man driving by stopped and said he saw me struggling with the box and offered to help me get it in the house...I am sure his wife who was in the car made him stop...but it was very nice of him to take the time! I felt so helpless yesterday! I really don't like that feeling! But I got it done!

I am sooooooo excited for DBF to come home! He had sent me his itinerary saying that he would be in on Dec. 2 but a couple of days ago he said he had a confession to make....he is really coming home on Dec. 1 and he was going to surprise me by showing up at my office but the more he thought about it he doesn't get in until 3:30pm and by the time he went through customs, took a shuttle downtown to my office I would probably already be on my way home. I can't wait to see him! Just 3 more days!

It is really snowing here. Supposed to get 5-8 inches and I need to go out and get some garland for my stair and loft railing. Can't get motivated but want to finish the deocrating today.

Hi all. Had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. It was great spending time with my brother! And....he will be home for Christmas too! But....found out he is going back to Iraq in Feb. My mom flipped out when she heard. He only has a yr and 9 mo. left in the military. We all played Cranium. We had a blast! My mom is getting the grandkids the kids version for X-mas.

I went to Target and bought a new Christmas tree today! It was only a short 7 1/2 ft (compared to CM's) but the lights are already on it. Yippee! My old tree is only 4 ft tall and no lights. I always put it on a end table. I got it from Goodwill a few years ago. It's time to give it back to Goodwill.

Well, at least it was only pepper spray. Compared to what else it could have been, that was mild.

I'm supposed to find out about the job tomorrow!

Congrats on the trees, Vicki and Legs! I tossed my artificial one out when we moved. Couldn't see moving a tree on sale for $9.99 after the holidays up here when I couldn't even get it in the box properly. I definitely got my money out of it. I'll see what's around. Decorating just seems like an overwhelming project.
