Hi. I have decided (from advice from all of you on these boards, thanks so much!) on the dates October 4 - 8 (we will actually arrive October 3 in Anaheim but won't hit the parks till the 4th and will be flying out 8th).

My problem now is that this won't cover a weekend so I am worried we won't get to see the gorgeous fireworks or shows/parades that Disneyland puts on. Is this the case?

Unfortnately yes. This is what happens during the "lower seasons" during the middle of the week.

You should be able to see fireworks and other major shows on Oct 8 since it is a Friday.

How soon we forget....HALLOWEEN FIREWORKS were nightly last year, and I don't expect that to change this year.

Ohhh I hope so! I would be so disappointed the miss them.

I agree with 3Minnies1Mickey and DisneyMomma81. I think that as long as DLR is, indeed, doing the Halloween villain-themed fireworks this year (which we should know for sure in late June or July), they will be nightly again (and did you happen to see the fantastic photos of the fireworks supplied by Disneylvrforever in our "Halloween at DL" super thread? Excellent!). In fact, last year, it was a big, happy surprise to everyone here who planned to go to DLR during Halloweentime because no one expected nightly fireworks, and we all had to go back and re-read the exact wording of Disney's description of Halloweentime to be sure that it said "nightly"...and it did!!:cool1:

The only thing that would make me question it is that there is probably going to be a new Halloween parade at DL this year. I wouldn't think they would take away the fireworks so they could put in the parade - it seems like the two things could peacefully co-exist - but you never know with Disney. I am still trying to figure out what they are going to do with World of Color in DCA on the nights of the Trick or Treat Party, which is a separate event only open to TOTP ticket holders.

Thank you so much. Fingers crossed!
