Our family of 5 has actually stayed at POR during the same time period last year. My kids 15,14,9 really liked the theming of the resort, and also being able to use either the quiet pool or the main pool (the 2 youngest are on swim teams, and love to be in a pool) As for the grown ups we loved the restaurant, and also the food ocurt had such an assortment even for the finicky eaters. Granted the room is not a large one, but how much time are you really spending inside the romm unless you're sleeping!
We didn't have any bathroom sharing problems at all I especially like that they have a curtain divider ( I would call it a dressing area) so it works rather well. Also keep in mind that the beds in POR are high ( to fit the trundle under) so little legs may need a boost. My kids actually fought over who got the trundle, I think they wanted a solo bed!
Just a small little thing that may or may not matter to you: if you use Disney transpo, the buses to POR/POFQ are much less crowded and the stops are much closer than any value resort
