Okay, I bought the Sizzix.... now what dies to buy??

I went to Michael's yesterday and got the Sizzix with the 40% off coupon. But quite frankly, none of the dies really thrilled me. Sure, they were cute and stuff, but there weren't any that I thought "wow, I can see myself using this a LOT!". I did buy one with some hearts to help my kids make Valentine's cards. But I certainly didn't buy this expensive item just for making kids cards! Maybe my Michael's didn't have all of the good dies in stock or something. Any suggestions?.....................P

I use my yellow splats a lot. I also like the lollipop alphabet, I use that the most. I do a lot of beach vacations ( and Disney Cruise!!) so I bought the red sun and palm tree, as well as a few green sea shells and the green sand dollar.

I use it a lot...and my scrapping friends love to borrow it!

I buy by theme, birthday Christmas that way when you go to use them you have more than one. You may want to start with shapes I love my (red) pocket I use for jour. alot abc pricy but worth it

the Tags
and Squares

I like the double heart one a lot too -


the others are pretty seasonal - like daisies, leaves, snow flakes - and I have a tendancy to buy others just as I need them for pages that I am doing - I have never just gone and buy them just to buy them if you know what I mean

Go to sixxiz.com and check out the variety available. Some stores just don't stock very well or may not have space. If they haven't caught on or sold well in the past they may not order many.
I have the lollipop alphabet, circles, a frame or two, tags... I really want a sizzlets alphabet next!

I have the lollipop set, and I also tend to buy in themes. I do a lot of vacation albums so I a have invested in these knowing I will use them over and over again. I only have few but so far I have :

palm leaves
splat ( used for water, paint )
seashells
sand dollar
snowflake
stocking

I have definetly used them on more than one type of layout and use them for swaps. Also you can do so many things with them ( different colors, chalking, embossing, using pens on them, and don't forget you cut more than just paper ).

I hope to get some of the tags and more beach theme ( we live near the ocean ) items soon.

Enjoy your new toy, in time you will figure out which ones really work for you.

I use the square set, tags and wood sign dies a lot.

I do have the shadow alphabet, lollipop, and upper/lower case fun serif sets too. I use the alphabets a lot.

i like the ivy and the stars! Wait a while to buy some at Mike's my store was really cleaned out so I'm sure they will be getting new stuff anyday now

I bought a set of four on Ebay this morning, so I guess I am on my way!..................P
