We are putting the finishing touches on our new home... closing on the 26th of this month. Might even move in before that!

We were lucky, we do not have a home to sell, as we live above our business.

We are looking to buy land and build, perhaps a log home if we can arrange it. If not, we will try to buy a newer home in May.

Hey Ricola! You live in Maplewood, right? That is where we are looking. What part do you live in? By Edgerton if I remember this from the last time we had this conversation. That is the exact area we are looking in. Let me know if your house goes on the market within the next month!

WE ARE SO EXCITED THAT WE CAN'T STAND IT
last minute details are a killer

We put a lot deposit on this new home over 1 year ago
We were looking for months before that
This has been a very long and tedious process
I AM SO GLAD IT WILL BE ALL OVER IN 12 DAYS

I can not believe the amount of work we have put into this move.
I am still getting things in order & have last minute packing to do
Just finished stripping & refinishing our dining room set & one bedroom dresser

8/26 will be one heck of a day - I sure hope it goes as close to smooth as it can
DH & I have final walk through at 8AM - closing at 10AM
movers arrive at noon (okay we are cutting it close on everything but ...)
Dh & I have boxed everything & will take beds apart etc..
movers are taking the furniture & then hopefully if time allow a load of boxes. Hoping to be done with movers by 5PM.

While I am running back and forth with the movers (only 2.5 miles between current home & new home) DH will be installing our ceiling fan in the bedroom (has to go in before the bed ) & installing blinds through out the house. Then once the beds & mattresses arrive he can put them together.

DH & I both have vacation for that whole week so we are hoping to make a great big dent in those 200 boxes that need unpacking.
I have so much to do but I am so happy
once we get through the walk through, closing, & the movers are done I will finally breathe deeply again.
