Okay, Dolly Parton had "The Joker" Look at the Oscars

I love Dolly and it seems like everyone else does too! I did think she looked thin last night, but she does look good for her age but needs to stop with the the surgery.She is so talented.
Someone told me about a website called awful plastic surgery where it shows pictures of before and after celebrities. Just a warning to have parents look at it first before they decide if its ok for kids to visit the site. Dolly sure seems like a great person, and a great singer, but this is nothing new since I've been around. She's always wore a ton a make-up, wigs, and she's in double digits in the surgery dept.

I agree. I thought she did FANTASTIC last night, she is so charasmatic.

Bottom line: for decades, she was giving Dick Clark a run for the money in the "perpetual youth" department. I guess that late 2005/early 2006 (New Year's Eve for him, the Oscars for her) was a sad watershed period when that game ended.

I believe that Dolly's thinness is probably due to a lot of lipo. She is no stranger to surgery and was on the cutting edge of re-making one's self long before it was even fashionable. I do however think she looks GREAT!

The botox has totally gone out of hand however, I am not sure there were many in the audience last night who hadn't fallen victim to the "shot". Ben Stiller looked the worse IMO. It is just not normal for a person's face to not move at all!!

I thought Dolly looked unusally thin as well. I love her charisma and upbeat personality, I just wish she'd let herself (and others) age naturally. Is that so bad? I guess it is.

Lisa Rinna has always had big lips, since pre Melrose Place (sorry if this has already been mentioned, I didn't read through all the posts.)

I'd just like to know when all the plastic surgery addiction madness will end. It's really getting scary looking in tinsel town!

Back to Heather Locklear -- What kind of surgery did she have?? Watching her in The Perfect Man, I couldn't decide if it was that her lips were bigger, her nose was smaller, or her skin had been stretched across her cheekbones, or all three.

I like Dolly, but I actually thought she sounded funny. Does anyone who is used to hearing her think that she sounded ... nervous. That's just exactly how I thought she sounded.

My DS is 9 and doesn't know much about plastic surgery. But when he saw her, he said "something is wrong with her face. She had surgery. And she doesn't have a stomach either." And he didn't mean she doesn't have a FAT stomach. I know him...he meant she literally does not have A stomach. I think he might have been distracted by the upper 1/2 of the mid-section if you know what I mean. It starts young.

I know she's had work done, but in this case I actually thought it looked like Dolly's lips were made larger with lip-liner and lipstick, not an injection. And there were tons of actresses who were waaaay skinnier and scary looking IMO.

Did anybody else notice Reese Witherspoon during her acceptance speech? Her forehead looked really weird. Even my husband noticed - and he doesn't notice anything! It actually looked a little "lumpy" (DH's word) - not a good look.

I agree with you, I just don't think she needed to do anything at all. She was beautiful the way she was.

That's what I think. I also think she looked better when she wasn't so thin. She balanced out better. I even wondered yesterday who her stylist was. She would have look better with a fuller skirt on the bottom that had her look better proportioned. I'm sorry, but form fitting pants don't look good on someone that age. You see the skinny legs, then what I call, granny belly. I think she's an incredible person, but I always thought she looked better in skirts.

I liked the color of her dress. I thought it was flattering to her and fit her personality.

She is one person that I would love to meet, because she just seems so down to earth.
