Okay Aussies and Kiwis, what shoes for WDW?

Hi

after hours/days/months spent wandering the parks...ok, it feels like it in sept/oct...we wear our gym/sand shoes with short socks.....
might not look too stylish but we havent had a blister/ hot spot and my DH is rough on his feet.
And this year i'm tossing my shoes before we come home, so more room for shopping.
Best way to tart up an old pair, pop them in the wash, add napisan and then add new white shoe laces......costs about $3....bargain.More money to spend on disney "essentials".
$2 thongs from big W for around the pool/laundry/room, and toss them before you fly home.

So hitting the Jimmy Choo store in NYC before we get to WDW isn't the way to go? :rotfl:

By the way Battymum - you had twins - I'm impressed that you can walk at all after the way that my 2 single pregnancies wrecked my back! When you get tired - get them to carry you!! ;)

Yes, Can I blame them, thirteen years on,:rotfl2:, it was never bad until recently.

But I am really concerned, that after 15hours in economy seats I will not be able to walk for 3days.

After checking out all your links, I've been scouting for Keen Whisper shoes. Man, the stock levels in stores in Australia is hopeless - they list so many stores as stockists who you call, and they have nothing. Online prices are ridiculous compared to US prices (especially given our dollar!) - sometimes double - and yet US shipping is pricey on most online shoe outlet websites (but usually free within the US). Shipping can be such a rip off too - nothing like buying something and finding the actual shipping sticker on the box to be a fraction of what you paid. I thought of having them sent to someone and having her send them on but I don't want to be a pain TBH... so finally after a lot of searching, I found an Amazon stockist who will actually ship here (many won't) for US$33 (an improvement on over $60 lol!).

It means the shoes have come to just under $95 (yeowch, I'm such a shoe miser lol) instead of $150-$160. I tried a pair on in a store (slightly too small but let me get the gist of how soft they are) so I'm looking forward to them turning up! The reviews for them look really good and I think they'll be a really good shoe for the Brisbane climate/lifestyle too.

Also, my girls are big Crocs wearers - for my 5yo DD Crocs are actually a school shoe option for the first year of school, and 4yo DD wears hers to school daily. So I'm thinking they'd be a good Disney option too. Did I read right that some of you are doing Crocs for yourselves or your kids?

Check out endless.com which is an Amazon company with Amazon pricing. But shipping wise to Australia is $10 for under $100 and free for over $100. I'm getting DD her Skechers from there. Just checked, they have a heap of Keens.

Oh, that looks good! I didn't find that (in my hours of searching! Please don't tell me it's in this thread ha ha... I've read through a couple of times but often it was on my phone and the screen is so small I miss a lot). I've already ordered my shoes though, the price is the same but it looks like if I'd ordered from Endless I would have received them faster. That being said, I got my first colour choice from the other seller (though admittedly colour was of fairly low importance over price etc!).

My kids wore Crocs or runners. I don't wear them myself, but only because I have never been able to find any that fit.
