does it come in an SPF higher than 36? Does it come in a face formula? Will I turn into a frog if I forget to reapply every 4 hours?

Well I know Jeremiah he was a bullfrog and he was a good friend of mine.

My DH swears by Bullfrog. he's redhead, and as pale as a ghost. literally walking across the parking lot in the summer will burn the back of his neck.

He uses the 36 SPF in the gel... rarely has to reapply it, and works so well. I'm amazed it doesnt have to be a higher SPF, really.

Worth every dime of that $8 bottle.

I think that common belief is that anything higher than about 30 is just redundant (i.e. doesn't work any better than 30).....P

We have used Bullfrog for years, and use the 36 SPF..Never had a burn, either in Florida or at the ocean with it..I have two light skinned kids and a bunch of very fair skinned grandkids and they all use it.

We use the Gel as it goes on so smoothly and you seldom have to reapply.

Nothing higher than 36, but you don't need it. I am a MAJOR afficionado of the Spray Gel, but I don't use that on my face, as it has LOTS of alcohol in it. But...the regular gel, and the kids gel is fine on my face. (the kids gel smells like watermelon)

I am about as pale and pasty as they come, and I have not been burned since I discovered this stuff. DS wears it every day at camp, and since it's a spray, the counselors are not at all hesitant to help him reapply.

I prefer the spray to the gel, but that is just personal preference, either one works GREAT.

Love the Bull Frog line. I got introduced to it when I ran my first 5k in Orlando. It was a freebie they were giving out to the runners and I have been hooked ever since.

As others have said, anything over SPF 36 is pretty much useless!

Thanks for your input everyone. I bought the gel and the spray, and got the stick for free with one of them. I think we should be all set for our trip.

I burn easily and use the 36 with no trouble. I reapply once during the day...at the beach mind you...and haven't had any trouble. Keep in mind it will feel very different from most other sunscreens because, as debster noted, it has a high amount of alcohol in it. The kid's spray is much more "greasy" feeling but still much less than most sunscreens. DD loves the spray as she can easily reapply at camp and it's great for the beach...no more sand in your lotion :)

I tried Blue Lizard when I ran out of bullfrog and was stuck for a lotion this spring and I wasn't as happy with it. It was more expensive than bullfrog (about $10.50/bottle) and I had to reapply it 3 times and still ended up pink at the end of the day.
