17. You played the game "MASH " (Mansion, Apartment, Shelter, House)

Okay I answered yes to all but this one...what was it ?? :confused3

I have to laugh because my 12 year old now plays this game and they act like it is something new!!!! :rotfl:

:rotfl2: :lmao: OMG!!! :rotfl2:

I remember all those from my DD (she's 21 this year)

Funniest thing to me was the turtles, she knew at 5 yrs old they were named for artists, and she is in art school now.....

I can relate to both! Too funny!

I too can relate to both lists.

I also had and acid washed jean jacket with leather fringe.
The girls at my mom's school were playing this game the other day that they had just made up, it was called MASH. :rotfl: The mom's got a kick out of that one!
Does anyone remember the plastic necklaces that had the different fruit that clipped to the necklace?

hated the wendy's commerical see my name is wendie so it was where's the beef and of course the answer was ( oh god the pain) between wendy's (ie's) buns.

I feel your pain, try going through the 80's and 90's with the name Faith and having every boy you go to school with singing 'Gotta Have Faith' everytime they saw ya LOL

I related to everything on that list...oh and here is my MASH score :)

Your husband's name is Doogie and you have 5 children. You're a Vet who drives to work every day in a Yellow Lamborgini.

It's truly a wonderful life when you consider the countless romantic nights you have spent with Doogie in your shack in Georgia.

Darn and I was really hoping for a Mansion with a member of NKOTB LOL

My grandmother found mine a few months ago and gave it to me. I put it up....I have a ton of those little clips. Oh and do you remember the pearl/bead strand necklaces that you bought two or three of and you twisted them and then clipped them at the end with the little clamp? Those were fun...or how about those clothing stores that sold nothing but cotton pieces that you layered? Those looked awesome with some leg warmers and scrunchy socks :)

I am still singing, what's it to ya?! :teeth:

OMG! Scrunch socks! I had tons of them. I used to love Doogie. I always thought MASH told my future. If so, I'd be living in a shack with 20 kids by now. :lmao:

Oh, and I love Jem! I had her posters and dolls and all the cassette tapes. I used to sing to them at the top of my lungs and dance around my room. I was such a dork.

I was just reading through these to see if anyone else remembered "twista-beads." We bought ours at Claire's. My favorites were black, silver and purple! I wore them with my purple parachute pants, a black sleeveless sweatshirt (think flash dance) and my Kaepas ( I can't remember how you spell that) that I put purple and black shoe strings in. One side had the purple at the top the other shoe had the black at the top. Oh!!!! Wow!!!! We were sure ugly, but I don't think that any generation ever had more fun with clothes and a little sebastian spritz! :cool2:

OMG, thanks for that! and that online MASH game... fantastic! I remember doing that! Here are my results today....

Your husband's name is TOM HANKS and you have 3 children. You're a NURSE who drives to work every day in a BLUE FERRARI.

It's truly a wonderful life when you consider the countless romantic nights you have spent with TOM HANKS in your shack in FLORIDA.

MASH is brought to you by TypePad, where you'll be able to get your own weblog to talk about your happy life with TOM HANKS.

Somehow I don't think I would be working if I was married to Tom Hanks and driving that blue ferrarri....! Ahhh memories....

Yeah, I'm kinda in the middle on this one too. The 70's list was my childhood and I was a teen in the 80's...so I don't really remember a lot of the cartoons/ toys from the 80's list.

But I definitely did the big hair and tight rolled pants thing!!! Slouch socks and high top tennis shoes....those were the days!!!! :rotfl:

wow i was nodding in agreement with all of those!!!

i STILL listen to the ducktales theme...is that wrong? it's so catchy! :teeth: life is like a hurricane, here in duckberg! racecars lasers aeroplanes, it's a duckblur! might solve a mystery...or rewrite history!!! :cool1:

I so forgot about 1/2 that stuff until now. I LOVED my plastic link necklace w/ the clip on plastic charm piece thingy's. I was the queen of ponytails on the side in my family, and I thought NKOTB had to be the greatest band of all time. I also really wanted to be Kelly on Saved by the Bell or Blair on the Facts of Life.

Thanks for this-- I need to call my sister tomorrow and read this to her too.

Being born in 1973, I fit nicely as both a 'child of the 70's' and 'child of the 80's' I remember almost all the items from both lists. It's fun to hear some of them again. ie) Garbage pail kids (Juicy Jessica)

Here are some other words/items that should stir memories....

swatch watches and the rubber guards that went over the face

forenza sweaters

baggy palmentos

the brown loafer shoes with the mallard duck tag on the side (cannot think of the name)

navy purse with green whale ribbon and the matching fabric barettes

Jordache purses

jean jackets with all sorts of pins with sayings on them

hmmm....that's all I can think of right now

Jess

so true i was born 3rd march 82

i definatly thought she ra and he man should be together and definatly wore those levi shorts with technicolor shirts lol

1973 as well here. :) But even so I'm stuck in the 80's . . .

Jelly bracelets. and knowing what every color meant. Double points if you remember how to connect two together.

"I've been slimed."

You know what generates 1.21 gigawatts of electricity.

LOAD "*",8,1

Airbrushed t-shirt mania.

Sticker albums.

Kangaroos.

Legwarmers.

Wearing your bangs higher than the entire length of your face, with enough Aqua-net to withstand a category 5 hurricane.

Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, Start. if not that, you at least remember where to keep jumping on the koopa shell to get unlimited 1Ups in the original Mario Bros game.

Or even for that matter, the video arcade craze.

Top-loading VCR's.

You can dance if you want to, you can leave your friends behind, but your friends don't dance and if they don't dance, well they're no friends of mine . . . (you're dancing right now, aren't you?)

Monchichis.

"Luke . . . I am your father."

Any movie by John Hughes (Sixteen Candles/The Breakfast Club/Ferris Bueller's Day Off/etc)

Milli Vanilli (and you know what they did wrong)

You know what Mike, Carol, and Ben's last name was without even thinking about it.
