Well folks, I am in the part of MA that got mostly rain, with just a dusting of snow late this morning.

Here are a few shots of our new 'lake' in our front yard

Here is the first shot, while the rain was still bucketing down:

And here is a shot showing the 'river' flowing across the driveway:

Much better shot of the river:

I think Dream mentioned something about a canoe and a paddle, well we sure could use them.

I just checked your local temp and it's below freezing....you can skate on it tomorrow! ;)

I hope you can get out tomorrow. Stay safe.

And the rain, rain, rain came down, down, down
And the flood rose up, up, upper.
Pooh, too, was caught and so he thought,
"I must rescue my supper!"
Ten honey pots he rescued,
Enough to see him through,
But as he sopped up his supper,
The river sopped up Pooh!

:earseek: Good grief Deb!!! Forget the canoe!!! ***Dream tosses Deb a motorboat to cruise thru her new lake!!!....with blades that can be added for ice boating!!!****

Yikes!!! I'll take some of that rain here to wash away the white stuff!!

That's what everyone else is going to get when the snow starts melting!!

Yikes, how deep is that I wonder?

Just be glad it's not closer to your house or coming in the basement.

Marla, an ark?? Just how OLD are you anyway??? ;) :p

Deb, you need to build on higher ground!! Wow, that is a LOT of water!!

The water was about a foot deep yesterday at it's highest. It has receeded a little bit, but the ground is just so saturated it has nowhere else to go.

CC--That spot is the lowest point of the yard, so all the water generally runs away from the house. Thank goodness!

It's frozen now, maybe we will test it out, and see if DS wants to skate!

ACK! I was just going to say something about it turning to ice! My backyard gets like that at times. Sometimes it's a pain because I have to walk the dog and we get muddy but in the winter -- I can't tell you how many times I've picked myself up off my butt.

That's cool Debbie! When life hands you lemons (are the sky hands you a flood) make lemonade! Yeah! Ian will love skating on that! LOL! :p :p

Deb, that is a LOT of water another WOW from me. Now any chance of any of the Bruins using your lake to practice on? That would be so cool;)
