I heard she was pretty good at curling. Must have gotten some pointers from Canadian. Or the janitor at her local mall....perhaps both. ;)

curling..then she should be able to open a bottle by herself...and if you remember at the Surf Spot...THAT was rather impossible!!!

So I don't think it is curling!!!!

UNLESS you mean curling her hair..

Hey! Obviously you have never watched or played in an exciting game of curling. Nothing says fun like a curling bonspiel. (Incidently, to Canadians from small towns, curling is kind of like bowling is to Americans - an excuse to go out and tip a few brew, while participating in a "sport")

Oh yeah! Edit to add that I can win both games reliably and I am over 35.

Well Moussedude..we are talking about Irish..You should see her at a game of checkers...And that is nt a pretty site...Ohh did I say that?
I told you... I let you win. How come you didn't tell everybody about the 13 games before you beat me, and how you started to cry?

I won't even go there... that was a total cheap shot

You and Mike can't come to my birthday party anymore...

Uh, Irish? Isn't your birthday in September? ;)

I'm 44 and I stink at video games. I always have. Here's how I played Pong, Space Invaders, Pitfall Harry, Frogger, Asteroids and any other video game I played:

I shouted, "USE THE FORCE LUKE!" while blindly fiddling with the buttons, knob, joystick or whatever. It mostly didn't work but at least it was somewhat entertaining for the people watching.

My excuse is I am cross-eyed so I can only see out one eye at a time. Depth perception? What's that? That part is true but I'm not sure it matters much with video games but I'm sticking with my excuse. :rotfl2:

Hi,

Back in the 1970s when I was a teenager and video arcades were just coming into vogue, my mother thought they were a pointless waste of money & time and she wouldn't let us go nor would she give us money to go with friends. Naturally we had no home video game. We were lucky to get cable ten years after everyone on the street got it.

Later as a young adult I didn't have the time or the extra money to go to them or to buy any home games. It wasn't until around 1993 that I ever had access to a computer - my boyfriend's (now husband) and I thought his single game: Tetris; was the bomb. I never saw the Internet until about 1996, and there were far too many wonderful things online to see & learn then to play games.

Over the last couple of years I might play a Yahoo game from time to time but it was no big deal. VMK is the first ever video game obsession for me. Most of the old video games y'all talk about from time to time, I have never heard of them. Winning POTC game and the Jungle Cruise game are my first online game wins ever; and frankly I thought they were huge chuck of time I should have spent doing something better; but at least I got better at them the more I played them. Sadly I 'm not getting better at the fireworks or the Blast game or the Hyper Mountain game; so for me they are a major frustration.

im 13 and the onyl reason im good at these games is that my parents introduced me to the N64 and the NES when i was but a wee lad

cat.herder,

Have you tried some of the games on Neopets? They have games that resemble Tetris, Minesweeper and a bunch of other games. I like to play the logic games, especially the spelling ones.

Reflexes...The one thing I don't have!Anyone want to trade?

Yes, we had Pong. Then I got to Pac Man and all the Asteroids or Galaga
games. Then came Atari home games, and so on...

And I've never really been good at any of them, no matter what age I've been! All the Tomorrowland Arcade games mock me. They whup me and
then whup me some more.

Fireworks is the only game I've conquered on my terms. With Pirates,
I was Blanche duBois, relying on the "kindness of strangers", mostly. :)

OK, wrong place to ask, but I don't feel like starting a new thread, and I suspect Mousse or some other people here will know the answer...

For each character, can you only win ONE space mountain room, or is it ONE space room PER DAY? Or something else?

Does it really matter?

That "man" sat there AT LEAST ( I am sure many more ) 35 times at the computer to play that game...

His poor wife... I can seriously hear him now

"one more minute hunny... one mor- DAMN... flippin rocket... ok few more minutes hunny... just a few more"
