I remember singing this when I was 5 years old!
There are many versions of it but this is how we sang it:
The worms crawl in, the worms crawl out,
The worms play pinochle (Pee knuckle) on your snout.
They eat your eyes, they eat your nose
They eat the jelly between your toes.
A great big worm with rolling eyes,
Crawls in your stomach and out your eyes,
Your stomach turns a slimy green,
And pus pours out like whipping cream.
You spread it on a slice of bread,
And that’s what worms eat when you’re dead.
HERE is the music with some other lyrics.
I guess it got popular again when I was a kid because of a Zsa Zsa Gabor movie from 1966 called "Picture Mommy Dead". A little girl sings it in the movie.
So come on, fess up, who used to sing it? What is your version?
