we will be going back to the world this x-mas, and i can't stop planning and re-planning !! i have been reading your reviews of restaurants for a while now. so, what do you think? this will be for me, dh, and dd (will be just 7 when we go). we did all the non-girlie character meals this past december....she is such a tomboy! she wouldn't meet cinderella if i paid her! so this time i thought we would cut back on character meals a little bit, and try some new stuff.

table service:
lilo & stitch b-fast
maya grill (our resort)
hoop dee doo
coral reef (possibly with candlelight prosessional)
capt jack's (gotta have those 2 lobster tails some here have talked about)
50's prime time (can't wait for the waitress to get after dh's elbows on table)
teppanyaki
MGM TOY STORY (HOPEFULLY LUNCH) **CROSSING FINGERS IT COMES THROUGH**
chef mickey's (dd loved waving her blue napkin!!)
whispering canyon (can't wait for dd to ask for ketchup)

counter service: (won't/can't do ressies)
pepper market
main street bakery
planet hollywood
cosmic rays (love love those hamburgs!!)
flaming tree bbq

so, what do you think? we will be on dining plan, and i will figure out what is cheaper to pay oop for 1 ts meal.

Sounds pretty good but u might want to rethink the coral reef it isnt very good

thanks for the opinions! this is not set in stone, but i really think my daughter (and her mom and dad ) would love the atmosphere at coral reef. i've read reviews that go both ways. will keep thinking, planning

Okay...here's where I've eaten and can give an opinion on:
Poly - it wasn't Lilo & Stitch - it was Mickey & Friends and before that it was Minnie's Minnehune(spelling?)...one of my favorite breakfast spots...make sure you try the "welcome" bread!

Hoop de Doo - many years ago, great show!

Coral Reef - one of the really want to do everytime places...food, atmosphere, and wait service excellent!

50's PrimeTime - had a ball with DD there, food was good, but the interaction with waitstaff was excellent!

Chef Mickeys - excellent choice for character interaction!

Whispering Canyon - Make sure you have someone at your table ask for the ketchup!

Pepper Market - A definite not to miss CS....

Planet Hollywood - excellent food, however very very loud music!

They changed it to lilo and stitch at ohana's we just went there a couple of weeks ago. I was pretty nice but we are not big breakfast eaters so we will probably not go back.

Well they are all restaurants I have tried or are going to try next trip so I would say you have great taste seriously, it all looks good,
