Ok, what are some DON'T restaurants...not even if they paid you!

Mama Melrose--two strikes and it is out forever! Horrid food and service.

'Ohana--completely charred meat that's rare inside is not my cup of tea. The style of the M.C. that night (and her purring voice saying," Just hang loose!") are something I NEVER want to experience again! I do not pay to be tortured-- thank you very much!

My very shy 14 year old boy was dragged into a shotgun marriage at WCC where he had to be married and sit with the "bride" (21 years old) and she had to sit with us to eat. Everyone in the restaurant laughed and joked about the whole thing, much to his dismay. He has made us promise to never eat there again. His sentiments combined with a lousy skillet will keep us from doing dinner there. We enjoyed there lunch with sandwiches and salads and quieter antics.

There have been meals I didn't enjoy as much as others but in all my trips to WDW, I've never had a meal I could label disgusting, yucky etc....-lol.

chef Mickey's ... Horrible cold bland over cooked food. Poor service. Saw our server 2 times, when he took our drink order and when he dropped off the check. Plates were never cleared from the tiny table they crammed the 4 of us at. (april 2000)

Aukeshu (sp?) might try again but doubtful. All the food seemed to have the same strange taste to it (April 2000)

I can't believe the negative reviews for Boma. It is the best meal at WDW I have ever had and close to the best meal ever.
Biergarten, Fulton's and Rainforrest cafe are all must do's on our list. (april 2000, and May 2002, RFC also in 2001)

I am not a fan of Biergarten (Germany).

I also had a bad experience at Planet Hollywood, but it had more to do with service and staff, than bad food.

Whispering Canyon wasn't so spectacular food wise. It's a fun place to eat, unfortunately in our case, the server was boring. The other tables were having fun, though because they had a different server. We even tried to egg our waiter on, but he was not into it at all. I finally got up and got a couple of stick horses for the girls and they had a race.

Chef Mickey's is great for the atmosphere but I agree about the food being just so-so.

Joanne

San Angel Inn...this place is beautiful, but after giving them THREE chances, all of which they totally blew, we quit. Last time my husband and I shared an appetizer, two different entrees and margaritas. Nothing, and I mean Nothing was good. It was late in the evening, so maybe that had something to do with it, but we have decided to enjoy this one with our EYES only from now on! Lin

Hollywood & Vine gets my vote too!

ASM 11/15/-11/22/02 Here we come!!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I'd have to say Sci Fi @ MGM, didn't appreciate paying over $100 for what amounted to little more than a ham sandwich and a packet of crisps(that's chips to you guys). and also
Rainforest Cafe @ DTD, luke-warm food, freezing cold restaurant and far too dark.

have to agree with Peach girl......Coral Reef has gone way down hill in my opinion. I love seafood and they even screwed up a shrimp coctail........Used to love their lobster bisque and still do, but the rest is history........We have spent our last $$ there.......

Is there a post where the menus for the candelight procession dinner are posted? I am trying to decide which restaurant to pick and going with 9 very different people is not an easy task! Thanks!

The All-Time Hall of Fame worse is Chef Mickey's. The buffet was weak at best and the character interaction was minimal. Two other places we won't be frequenting are Bongo's and Teppanyaki. :)

I will have to also vote for Coral Reef . The view of the aquarium is great but the food was not very good. We were on a package that included all meals so we wanted to try different places, this one was the worst. Also very expensive and the service was not great .:( :( :(

We were not impressed with the new princess breakfast in Norway. The food was aweful...and cold. Everthing was just piled into a skillet and placed in the middle of the table. Things were all mixed together and I have major food touching issues. Cindy's was much better. In past visits to Cindy's I was disappointed...but not last week. Everything was terrific.

What Chef Mickeys lacked in it's culinary aspect, it definitely made up for with character interaction. We were a family of 6 who laft there with big grins on our faces. A lovely start to the day.

LeCellier was terrible, food, service and atmosphere.

Sci Fi was also terrible food, bad service.

Boma and Norway had a lot of different food, I enjoyed trying it all.
Also, how could you not like ESPN? Cold beer, TV's in the bathroom, and Monday night football, and monster hot chicken wings.

Let's not forget all of the hot girls working at all the Epcot restaurants. Hottest girls were at Aukershus, definately go back for that!!

have to disagree
enjoyed both H & V and Chef Mickey's for breakfast in 2000
although both were not the very best food ever
It was good hot buffet food and the characters were great
We liked the atmosphere and would easily go back to either one

We found the food at universal to be way more expensive and less appealing - will not be going back there anytime soon

Another thumbs down for Coral Reef.

Worst of the worst--ABC Commissary--Abandon all hope ye who enter here! Bad food, high prices, horrible "atmosphere." We just wanted a quick lunch, didn't expect much, but this was ridiculous. We were there in October.

Whispering Canyon.........

I see this one coming up a lot and with good reason. We stayed at the WL back in 1999 and absolutley loved the resort. However, we did not care for WCC. We ate several meals, both dinner and breakfast and every time.....YUCK!

Now , as far as the servers go, I know they are suppose to act crazy but the waitress we had for our last breakfast before returning home was....well I still can't describe her. Maybe someone here can help. My DH needed a refill of coffee and after she brought that she asked if he needed more cream. Then she leaned over and whispered in his ear so only myself and DH could hear. She then said " or I can just ring out my pantyhose in your coffee". I am getting ill just thinking about it. This wasn't a young girl, but a mature woman. Thank goodness my two DD's were finished eating and playing with the lincoln logs. We were in shock, like did she really say that. We asked for the check immediatley. We did speak with the manager before departing. Even though that may have been an isolated incidence, it's one we will never forget. We will NEVER set foot in WCC again.
